Olay anti wrinkle night cream
Whilst i am never completely convinced about the claims these products make, so seduced am i by the suggestion that i will look 20 years younger that I keep buying them!
WHAT IS IT?
This is a firming night cream which is apparently proven to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, helping to achieven younger looking skin in just four weeks.
HOW DOES IT DO IT?
It states on the box that it has sourced proven anti ageing vitamins, B3, E and pro vitamin B% ceramides and antioxidant (Green tea) and has created a special blend. So special is it that they can't give away the secret but while you sleep your skin will be rejuvenated.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING
The product comes in lots of packaging (cardboard box surrounded by plastic) which is a tad unnecessary given that we are trying to cut down on packaging. Open up the box and there is a small plastic tub containing the cream. The tub itself is clear with the make of the cream on it and simple instructions for useage on the back. To open the tub of cream, simply unscrew the black lid and there is the cream, which is a creamy white colour with a definite floral smell. I like the smell but for anyone with really sensitive skin and needing unperfumed products, this will probably not be the one to buy. The cream itself is relaticely thick but not overly creamy, so when I apply it to my skin, it is absorbed easily, and whilst there is a slight residue, it's not sticky and certainly doesn't make my skin feel clogged, rather it feels really moisturised and soft.
USING THE CREAM
Apply liberally and massage gently into your face and neck. I would suggest not too liberally because it may feel quite greasy on some skin, and a little bit of this really does go a long way. I did give a friend with dry sensitive skin some of the cream for her verdict, and she said that it was too greasy for her. I found this quite strange because i would imagine that dry skin needs greasy but apparently not!
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The product is widely available in supermarkets and chemists and costs £9.99 for 50ml but watch out for 2 for 1 offers because there are plenty of those around.
VERDICT
I have used it for more than the four week mark and can honestly say that my wrinkles have in no way diminished, but if I am perfectly honest, I didn't expect them to! The cream is easy to use, pleasant smelling and does moisturise my skin nicely, making it feel really soft and smooth. It's not too thick like some night creams so I don't feel clogged up, so as a moisturiser, i would recommend it, although there are creams out there which do the job and are a lot less expensive.
Thanks for reading.
