Advantages: Good packaging, removes dirt, makes skin feel refreshed, available at most drugstores, price
Disadvantages: Stings eyes, doesn't remove eye makeup well
Olay Daily Facials are textured cleansing wipes that aim to remove dirt and make-up in one quick and easy step. They can be bought in a pack of 25 for £2.50 from Boots. Priced at other drugstores may vary.
*Packaging*
The packaging on the picture above appears to be different to mine. Anyway, mine are in a long, quite thin pack. The packet seems very flat so it's great for taking on holiday because there'll always be room in your suitcase for these. The pack contains 25 wipes. The packet is blue and on the front we are given a little information about the product. On the back there is more important information such as the ingredients. For opening and closing the packet there is a resealable flap that works great. It's very rare I find a packet that actually stays resealed but this is brilliant because it means the wipes stay damp and usable for however long they are in the pack.
*Using The Product*
All you have do is wipe over your face. It's very easy to do. I really like the texture of the cleansing cloths because they are a little rough (but not too much) so they help unclog my pores and get rid of bitty bits of dry/flaky skin. I like the fact that the cloths are quite big and thick- I've tried some before that were too small and really flimsy but it wasn't the case with these. The wipes remove makeup such as foundation and blusher and lipstick, but I had a little trouble with mascara and eyeliner- it wasn't removed fully. I would suggest a separate eye makeup remover when using these. But if you are just using these as a cleanser and not a makeup remover then you shouldn't have a problem.
*The results*
After using a wipe my skin is left feeling cool and clean. The only problem was my eyes- they stung.. Alot. This product claims to be suitable for sensitive skin and the packet states it can be used to remove even waterproof mascara. I would say this information is false is because my eye makeup wasn't removed well and some chemical on the cloth irritated my eyes. I don't even have sensitive eyes so I would definitely not recommend these if you do.
*Conclusion*
At £2.50 these are great because I've bought some lesser known brands that were more expensive. For Olay, these are pretty cheap. The wipes work as a great cleanser, but maybe not for a fabulous makeup removing experience.
Summary: A nice cleanser
