Olay state that the face wash is blended for everyday use and this is absolutely true; I use it twice a day (morning and night) and it is not drying my skin out at all, it feels fresh and well nourished. This product is suitable for normal, dry and combination skin so it really should suit everyone. This face wash is readily available in many shops and supermarkets but the prices do vary a lot with d...more

Premium Review Olay Refreshing Face Wash 150ml: Gentle Cleansing (521 words)

I have combination skin that is readily happy to break out into spots at the drop of a hat if I don't keep it under control with the right products. After years of looking for and perfecting my ideal skincare routine I was slightly panicked when I discovered that my preferred type of face wash had been discontinued. After searching for it in vain I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to buy an alternative product. After discounting several products due to past experience, I decided to buy Olay Gentle Cleansers Refreshing face wash - encouraged even more so by the fact that it was on offer at £2 (usual price is around £2.99). The face ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great for sensitive skin... Olay Refreshing Face Wash (686 words)

For something that should be so easy, I find washing my face quite difficult! That may sound a strange statement but I am not someone who can just wash my face in soap and water, as it will leave my skin feeling very dry. Rather than using the soap and water method I am better using a face wash as I find they are slightly less harsh on my skin. If I am honest I will always go for the cheaper option or a shops own brand. In the past I have brought face washes from Superdrug, Tesco and Boots as well as buying face washes from brands such as Simple, Tea Tree and Witch Hazel wash. It was in my Christmas stocking that I was luckily enough t receive the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Olay Refreshing Face Wash 150ml: Does what it says on the packaging! (532 words)

For something that is so simple, I seem to have a lot of trouble with washing my face each day. I have quite sensitive skin with occasional outbreaks of eczema around my nose and hairline and finding the right prduct can be a bit of a problem. Soap is a no-no as it usually dries my skin straight away but if I use a cleansing lotion I never feel really clean and refreshed. I have flirted a little with cleansing wipes but found most of them to be too harsh as well although I have had some success with Olay Daily Facials pads; they're not cheap though. So when I received Olay Refreshing Face Wash in a gift pack from my mother at Christmas I was a bit dubious. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fresh as a daisy! (181 words)

I love Olay products and have a good range of the day and night cream, the everyday moisturiser and some of the makeup. I have used the face wash and was really pleased with it. It is for normal, dry, combination skin and contains witch hazel. You only need a small amount, about the size of a 50p as it lathers up really well. The best way to apply is if you wet your face first, then apply a small amount, lather up and gently rub over your face and neck in a circular motion, so as not to stretch your skin, then rinse well. It leaves you with a lovely fresh feeling and it does not dry out your face as other products do. It can cost between £3 and £4 but as you ...  Read the complete review
