Advantages: Smells great, lathers up well, leaves skin soft and smooth.

Disadvantages: None at all

For something that should be so easy, I find washing my face quite difficult! That may sound a strange statement but I am not someone who can just wash my face in soap and water, as it will leave my skin feeling very dry. Rather than using the soap and water method I am better using a face wash as I find they are slightly less harsh on my skin.

If I am honest I will always go for the cheaper option or a shops own brand. In the past I have brought face washes from Superdrug, Tesco and Boots as well as buying face washes from brands such as Simple, Tea Tree and Witch Hazel wash.

It was in my Christmas stocking that I was luckily enough t receive the Olay Refreshing Face Wash. My mum had gone all out and brought me this great looking face wash from a well-known and loved brand.

The face wash itself comes in a white and aqua blue plastic bottle (which can be recycled). It is the base of the bottle that is aqua blue; this part of the bottle is also the dispensing part of the bottle whilst the remainder of the face wash is white with the front showing the Olay logo and the name of the product. The only picture on the product is a blue circle. The front also states the face wash can be used for normal, dry or combination skin. The back of the bottle simply gives instructions for use and ingredient listings. The face wash is 150ml in size.

To use the face wash you need to open the flip lid and gently squeeze the bottle, as if you were dispensing toothpaste! You do only need to give it a gentle squeeze, especially when first using the product, as the face wash will come out quite quickly.

The face wash itself is thicker in texture than other face washes I have used, it is also clear in colour. To use it I damp my face first, then apply the product onto my hands and then massage this into my face. What I noticed was the smell of the face wash; it almost has a fruity scent to it, not at all sickly but very light and refreshing. It almost smells clean if that makes sense!

The face wash is soon to lather up on my skin, creating lots of lovely bubbles and smelling great. After massaging into my skin all I then do is rinse away and like any product avoid getting it into my eyes. I then pat my skin dry and I am set up with clean, fresh smelling skin!

What I like about this face wash is that it leaves my skin really soft. I do suffer from dry skin on occasions, especially in the winter months when it has to battle with central heating and windy days. I am not sure if it is this product alone that has helped my skin feel better or that I follow a cleanse, tone and moisturise routine. I am very impressed with the results.

The face wash now forms part of my regular skin care regime and it has taught me that buying the cheaper option is not always the best. This face wash costs around £3.00 but can be found cheaper on various money saving schemes in different shops. I have seen this product available in most Supermarkets and High street stores such as Superdrug and Boots. I last brought my face wash in Superdrug and it had a third knocked off its original price plan. Not bad and we all love a bargain!

In summary, I would not hesitate in recommending this product to anyone, even if you do suffer with problem skin. I use it morning and night and it lasts me a good couple of months so you are getting value for money.

5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars from me!

Thanks Olay and thanks for reading!

Summary: Highly recomended! No need for just soap and water when you can get this treat for your skin!
