Old Spice

Whilst shopping the other day I found a product which I thought was extinct, almost as much as I am myself. It is a product that was very popular in its Hey day which unfortunately was 20 odd years ago. The fact however that it is still available means that there is still a market for it albeit that this market is dwindling due to age. I can remember years ago smelling this and thinking it was the bee’s knees, and having had another whiff of it lately I still hold my opinion to be accurate. It's interesting how there's something about desperation when you are away from the safety of your own bathroom that makes you try anything once. In my case, it was while I was staying with my parents and needed some aftershave before going out. Bathroom cabinets differ, depending on the area and the age of the occupants. My parents had all sorts of items in theirs and only the bear minumum of them would have been useful to someone actually wanting to smell nicer. I love this aftershave, it has been going for years, but the smell of this stuff never fails to stir me. It is one of the most lasting aftershave scents I have ever found. If my husband puts it on in the morning it still has the power to make me want to take him up stairs when he gets home. I have used Old Spice after-shave for over 40 years - and have a skin without pimples or wrinkles to prove it. This is I feel just a perfumed iodine which heals the skin after a shave, especially of tough bristles - which I have. Old spice is not the old mans aftershave many people think it is, its cool refreshing and very economical to use. Good looking bottle too. The advertising is not far off, it is like a refreshing surf spray and due to the price you can just about splash it around. It doesn't burn your face after shaving which is great for me as i have really sensitive skin which dries out with a lot of aftershaves. Readily available anywhere, possibly a new advertising strategy is needed and samples to be made available.
