Advantages: Rich, creamy, versatile.
Disadvantages: Expensive...but worth it
I bought this little pot of Tender Care from an oriflame rep that visited our school and left a load of samples for 'stressed out' teachers. (Yes I know we get the holidays..but we are allowed to get stressed!)
Oriflame are a swedish company who specialise in natural skin care and cosmetics, and are a bit like an upmarket AVON (well avon of yesterday..they seemed to be a bit more vamped these days!). The products are a little on the pricy side, but are really good quality and do last a long time.
The product that I have chosen to review is the pot of Tender care and lets face it , we can all do with a bit of tender care every now and then! It comes in a tiny pink pot (15ml) with silver emblem, a very handy size to keep in your handbag.
The contents are very similar to Vaseline, but I do find that using vaseline on my lips when they are dry tends to moisturise them initially, but then they almost feel drier the next day. This has very similar ingredients to vaseline, although I can't find out whether vaseline contains honeycomb extract, and think this maybe the secret ingredient that works for me!
The pot is quite expensive at £7.75, but the contents are rich and thick and you really do need a tiny bit to work wonders. I have used the product on my lips, on my very dry cuticles, to soothe my sore nose following a cold and even on my very rough, dry heels and have been really impressed with the results. It is fragrance free and I have used it almost every day for 2 weeks now and have hardly made a dent in the pot. I anticipate that this will last me at least 6 months if not longer and obviously as it does its job so well may not need to use it as often. (Once I've got over the novelty that a new product offers!!!)
I think this is a brilliant product, but if Vaseline works for you then stick with it as Tender Care is an expensive alternative, but for me it does the trick!!!
Summary: If Vaseline works for you stick with it. If not invest in this pot of tender magic!
