Advantages: It exfoliates.

Disadvantages: It hurts!

I received a 125ml sample of this product via a promotion in Marie Claire magazine. You had to pick up the sample at an Origins counter and the sales assistant was very helpful, demonstrating the product. She did warn me about the stinging eyes!

I tried the product twice, following her guidance to avoid stinging eyes (don't use in the shower, wipe off with a damp cloth, apply on damp skin if your skin is sensitive).

My skin is indeed sensitive and sadly this product didn't work for me. It did make my skin smooth and soft at first but it stung my face on application, and a few days later my face was red, sore and flaky. Not pretty, not comfortable.

Shame because it does exfoliate well, the smell is pleasant and the texture is nice and thick with plenty of exfoliating beads. The price is of course a shocker, and that alone might be enough to put me off at £27.50 for the 125ml size I tried. Coupled with the fact that it was actually painful and left my face looking like I had a dose of eczema, that's a double no. If I'd paid that much for the product I'd be seriously annoyed.

Summary: If you have sensitive skin, AVOID!
