Advantages: nice smell, does what it says on the tin, last very very long
Disadvantages: the price!
Exfoliation is good, so they all tell us. And if we don't exfoliate then our pores will become clogged and then all hell will break loose (or so the woman at the Clinique counter tried to persuade me once). So, if you wish to gently encourage new skin to peer through on your face Never a Dull Moment is really a good bet. This isn't really a new invention. I've been buying exfoliating products with apricot kernel (or in this case papaya) since I was a teenager, but for some reason there's something different about this product. For one thing there is not quite so much grit. I always get the feeling when I use an exfoliator that I'm gently rubbing sandpaper over my face, this product does not produce that. The grit is fairly light and glides quite nicely over the skin. I believe the secret may lie in the orange coloured gel that holds the grit together. This appears to clear and brighten the skin leaving the user quite fresh faced. Really!! I know what you're thinking, why the heck should I lay out 20£ for a pot of exotic fruit kernel and some gelly when sea salt mixed in to my face cleanser would do just as good. And yeah, I admit to thinking the same thing. But, for one, it really does what it says on the tin, my skin did look visibly clearer and more content following a treatment. It is also quite gentle. I leant some to my husband after a bout of athlete's foot had spread to his hands and the skin was flaking off (ewwww). This gently removed the dry skin on his hands without reddening or harming the fresh skin that was coming through. He had to be actively discouraged from approaching the jar afterwards once his hands had healed. Also, a little goes an amazingly long way. I've had my little pot now for over a month and it's barely gone below the rim, even after my husband had his way with it. The gel really holds the product together well and rather then just disintegrating into a load of sediment on
your face it keeps its consistency enabling a smoother wash. Until I met the Origins range I was tetchy about paying this sort of money for a product, but it seems they are one of the few ranges out there that are actually worth it. Origins products can be found in some branches of Debenhams (Belfast Castle Court for those in Northern Ireland) and I believe in some House of Frasers.
