Presented in a blue flip top box, by SB (SmithKline Beecham that is), Oxy Blackout is a product to tackle those nasty little critters that surface from time to time, (no, sadly not men) blackheads. I wouldn't consider myself a major sufferer of blackheads, but I get a few, and attempting to squeeze them out is usually more damaging to the skin than leaving them put. Admittedly, prior to trying this product, I had severe doubts about it's (and other rival brands) ability to make any noticeable difference to my skin. If a basic skin care routine of cleansing and toning couldn't prevent blackheads, why should this? Well, it ... Read the complete review

OXY over the past few years have come out with many different products to help teenagers with there skin troubles. They seem to cash in on the annoyance of spots in teenagers etc. OXY blackout is just another one of many products; I have to say it’s one of the worst they have in their skin care range. OXY Blackout is a skin product that is to be used in problem areas of the skin, which have Blackheads. You can see these as sort of black dots on certain parts of the skin; which mostly eventually turn into annoying spots. When a product comes along from such a well know brand as OXY, that is said to remove Blackheads before they turn into spots, ... Read the complete review

Wowee, this is weird and messy! To be fair, I haven't used this stuff for loonnng time but I remember using it not long after I had my nose pierced (about 6 years ago) when I couldn't help but notice that I had what appeared to be block pores or blackheads and felt that did not show of my nose attire to its best effect. Facial scrubs helped a little but not enough and I'd heard of this then new stuff which could literally lift out those black bits and accompanying nasties. So I splashed out on Oxy Blackout strips - back then I think they were about £4 for about 20 strips. The product is in a little blue flip-top box and contains the little ... Read the complete review

How annoying! This Oxy Blackout doesn't work! I bought it because I expected visible blackheads to be removed, but no, it won't do that. You get 32 little strips, a bit like sellotape, that you stick on the skin to remove the dirt from your poor clogged pores, and some liquid stuff that you put on first that dries to pull out the blackheads. On the box it recommends that you follow your normal steaming routine first. Having never steamed before I didn't know what it was on about so I just tried to use the kitchen kettle to open my pores. Then I followed the procedure with the sticky liquid and the tape and nothing happened. When I held the tape up to the ... Read the complete review

I have one piece advice for you all out there! Don't buy OXY BLACKOUT because it is absoloutley rubbish. What the pack includes is a little booklet on how to use the product a tiny (and I mean tiny) bottle of this clear sticky fluid (the smells just like glue) and about 40 sticky strips that our supposed to rip the black heads out. You put the sticky fluid on your face and leave it till it dries and then you put one of the blackhead removing strips over it press it down and WAAAALAAAA!the blackheads are meant to be removed but oh no they're not they're still there. So this product is an utter waste of time. I would go as far as saying this ... Read the complete review
