I applied the cream after washing and toning my face, and straight away it stinged and my face became bleached on the spot. I am so grateful that I only applied it on 3 spots at the beginning. I tried to wash it off and apply moisturizer, it helped a bit. The next day I still could not decide whether I should apply it or not, but I gave it a go, did on one spot at time. It was much better feeling but it did not...more

Premium Review Oxy On The Spot: Be careful with this one! (555 words)

I would like to add a word of warning to the previous, very helpful, opinion on this product. Do PLEASE take great care when using it, believe what they say about the risks and DO NOT exceed the recommended dosage. I've used this product off and on for a few months, and to be honest I don't think I've noticed much benefit. The spots may clear up slightly more quickly, but whether it's as a result of this product, or something un-related, I also seem to have had more spots recently than before I started using it. Hopefully just a coincidence. But on to the crux of my story. I don't suffer from spots all that often, but when I do I ...  Read the complete review

Don't you just hate that advert though?! Why, oh why, oh why does it always happen? You know what I mean...... the day you plan to do something out of the ordinary you wake up and feel that little tingling sensation..... "OH NO" is usually the normal response.... then, sure enough, after confirming it for yourself in the mirror, you've got one of those little red blighters staring back at you. People no longer talk to you, they talk to *IT*. First things first: ~ Does it work!?!?! ~ This is the most important question of all. And the answer? Yes and a bit of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Oxy On The Spot: A decent product, but take note of my advice! (210 words)

A few years ago i had extremely bad acne. I tried everything, including this. During my really bad acne stage this was not too useful, it helped a bit but if i used it too much my skin would go red and dry and make it look even worse. This was especialy true if i applied it near my lips, as it would make my lips appear swollen. I went to a doctor about my acne and went on various medications to no avail, so i got refered to a dermatologist and went on roaccutane. A harsh drug but it worked for me. Now i only have a few small spots, nothing like they used to be. I am so glad I used it and reccomend it to anyone if you can handle the side ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Used with acne.org regimen (156 words)

Despite what a lot of people have said, this is actually a really effective product... When used correctly that is. For the past 6 months I've been using this as part of the regimen found at www.acne.org and it has worked wonders on my skin. To be fair my acne was nowhere near as severe as I saw it to be but even still, this has totally cleared me up. The only downfall is that, unless it's on offer at Superdrug, it can be quite pricey. If you're skin is really bad though and you want to get it cleared up (why wouldn't you?) then I highly recommend this :) If the price puts you off then try and get your doctor to put it on a repeat prescription for you - it'll ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Oxy On The Spot: Ineffective for me (213 words)
by - written on 04/01/09 (Useful, 175 readings)

'Oxy on the spot' contains Benzoyl Peroxide which is meant to kill the bacteria that causes spots and reduce the swelling. After trying various brands of spot cream i thought i would have one last try of over the counter stuff before going to the doctors for some stronger stuff. I applied the cream as per the instructions ; I washed my face wish luke warm water in order to open the pours and then i used cotton to apply the cream to the infected areas of my face, taking care not to spread it. I did this for a few days and what i did notice was greasier skin and more pronounced spots, i continued for another week or so and nothing got better so i quit using it ...  Read the complete review
