... telly told me that this is fantastic for all skin types, is light yet moisturising and it's all true. I use hope in a jar twice a day (something I've never been able to do without major issues), in the evening and in the morning. The texture of the cream is almost whipped, very light but now so air filled that you get the feeling that the manufactures are only doing it so that they can get away with putting less in the jar. The cream smells a bit funny in my opinion, almost herby, but sinks in like a dream. You almo...more

Philosophy Hope in a Jar: ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON, DOES WHAT IT SAYS WITH NO LIES (151 words)

Absolutely what is says on the tin! I've experienced buying everything on the market you name it. But some say this is an expensive product? Well, I've folked out for more than £28.00 for 2oz a jar and I have something that you can only purchase from Harrods and I am out to tell you this This product is the best I have ever used. Finally I have got to tell you that 1) works with combination skin 2) corrects your skin straight away and does not leave you oily or dry 3) great to wear under make up or alone 4) the smell is so refreshing it smells like earthy not perfume. this tells me its a good product to be honest Go for it, invest ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hope in a jar moisturiser (302 words)

I have been using this moisturiser for the past few months after buying it in a set from QVC, this contained the cleanser (purity), eye cream (hope in a tube eye and lip), exfoliating wash and the moisturiser(hope in a jar) from the philosophy range and the exfoliating set. I`ve wanted to try this for a while cos it just sounded so good when Lee from Qvc was going on about it so when i saw this set for £45.00 i grabbed it, they say you see visible results in 3 days. I wanted to try this as my skin was generally good but it was very dull looking and slightly uneven and my eye lines were fairly dehydrated. So off I went with my new box of ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Philosophy Hope in a Jar: Hope in a Jar - The Miracle Cream!!! (612 words)
by - written on 07/02/05 (Very useful, 5795 readings)

This is my first time writing a review for ANYTHING, so sorry in advance if I leave out any important info. Well, I'll start with my skin 'problems' - I have an oily forehead, dry and flaky patches on my nose and cheeks, large pores on my cheeks, and prone to having reactions to most skincare products. I am also really lazy and can't be bothered with a strict beauty regime. As a result, I am 26 with lines around my eyes, dark bags under my eyes and an uneven/patchy skin tone. I decided enough was enough and that I needed to start cleansing/moisturising etc on a daily basis with decent stuff to try and stop the damage that was obviously being done to my face. I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fantastic, even for combination and oily skin (354 words)

I brought hope in a jar from QVC a few months ago, I'm a sucker for lotions and potions and as I brought it I told myself off for being roped into a sales pitch once again! But to my surprise - shock horror; a moisturiser that suits my skin!! I have combination skin and at 27 I still have breakouts! Every moisturiser I buy just brings me out in spots so I gave up, I knew I should be using a moisturiser but came to the conclusion that I couldn't put up with the worsened spots. The lady on the telly told me that this is fantastic for all skin types, is light yet moisturising and it's all true.
