Advantages: doesnt bring me out in spots and lasts ages
Disadvantages: all you're friends and family will use up your supply
I brought hope in a jar from QVC a few months ago, I'm a sucker for lotions and potions and as I brought it I told myself off for being roped into a sales pitch once again! But to my surprise - shock horror; a moisturiser that suits my skin!!
I have combination skin and at 27 I still have breakouts! Every moisturiser I buy just brings me out in spots so I gave up, I knew I should be using a moisturiser but came to the conclusion that I couldn't put up with the worsened spots.
The lady on the telly told me that this is fantastic for all skin types, is light yet moisturising and it's all true. I use hope in a jar twice a day (something I've never been able to do without major issues), in the evening and in the morning.
The texture of the cream is almost whipped, very light but now so air filled that you get the feeling that the manufactures are only doing it so that they can get away with putting less in the jar. The cream smells a bit funny in my opinion, almost herby, but sinks in like a dream. You almost have to make sure that you spread it around quickly before it sinks in. A few minutes after butting it on and it feels like there was nothing there, my skin is just left feeling really smooth, refreshed and hydrated - no greasy or oily feeling at all.
I can honestly say this cream has not caused me to come out in spots, if anything my skin seems to have settled down since using it and I'm pretty sure it's evened out my skin tone too. When I use it in the morning I can apply liquid foundation within minutes with no fear of my foundation caking or sliding around on top.
I love this cream, it's worth every penny. My boyfriend now also helps himself to it daily and I recommended it to my mum who is also now an avid user. The jar lasts ages too.
Summary: Great!
