I brought hope in a jar from QVC a few months ago, I'm a sucker for lotions and potions and as I brought it I told myself off for being roped into a sales pitch once again! But to my surprise - shock horror; a moisturiser that suits my skin!! I have combination skin and at 27 I still have breakouts! Every moisturiser I buy just brings me out ... Read the complete review

I use the Philosophy hope in a jar original formula for all skin types. The moisturiser was originally created for the medical market to assist with the appearance of wrinkles, skin discolouration, rough skin and dehydration. The product is available in 2oz (56.7g) tubs and costs approximately £35. Other sizes are available from the US ... Read the complete review

TUB The tub is a semi opaque white with a black screw lid. Written on the front of the product is: Philosophy: where there is hope there can be faith. where there is faith miracles can occur. Underneath this the following is written with a translation in french: World famous moisturizer for all skin types. Then the weight ... Read the complete review

I pleaded for my boyfriend to get me this for Christmas. I'd seen it on the stores, and on the shopping channel and just felt that unexplainable need for it! (I know you get it too ladies) Let me explain that my skin is in ok condition, a few blemishes but my main concern is that it looks very tired and lack lustre quite a lot of the ... I had seen this product on QVC a few times, and really wanted to try it, but could never quite justify the price. I then saw that QVC were selling a kit which contained five different Philosophy products including a half size of this Hope in a Jar cream for about £25 so decided to treat myself to it. There seemed to be a lot of hype ... Read the complete review

I have had this product for about a year now and ok yes philosophys products are pretty expensive but believe me some of their products are well worth the money. Firstly this product costs £31 for a 2oz jar this may seem expensive but this moisturiser is quite thick meaning you dont have to use half the jar each time you want to use ... Hope in a jar is available in various skin type versions. I have used the "all skin types" version. However, there is another version for "dry, sensitive skin" so ensure that you look out for the right product for your skin type. Therefore, this review is for the original 'all skin types' version. I have found that ... Read the complete review

I had a course of Roaccutane about 10 years ago for really bad skin. It left my skin hyper-sensitive. I went from an oil slick to a drought. Since then I haven't been able to use anything other than Nivea on my face. But after listening to all my colleagues swear by expensive products (namely Clinique which rips my skin to bits) I decided to ... Read the complete review

Absolutely what is says on the tin! I've experienced buying everything on the market you name it. But some say this is an expensive product? Well, I've folked out for more than £28.00 for 2oz a jar and I have something that you can only purchase from Harrods and I am out to tell you this This product is the best I have ever used. ... I have been using this moisturiser for the past few months after buying it in a set from QVC, this contained the cleanser (purity), eye cream (hope in a tube eye and lip), exfoliating wash and the moisturiser(hope in a jar) from the philosophy range and the exfoliating set. I`ve wanted to try this for a while cos it just sounded so good ... Read the complete review

This is my first time writing a review for ANYTHING, so sorry in advance if I leave out any important info. Well, I'll start with my skin 'problems' - I have an oily forehead, dry and flaky patches on my nose and cheeks, large pores on my cheeks, and prone to having reactions to most skincare products. I am also really lazy and can't be bothered ... Read the complete review
