If you have read my other review on Philosophy you will know that I was highly impressed with it but it does not always follow that I will like all other products and obviously in the name of research I felt that I should try them all!.

As I am in my early 30s! I am unfortunately finding that those tiny fine lines are now more pronounced oh okay they are more like huge crevices! but don't tell anyone. So in the pursuit of keeping my beautiful skin looking youthful I decided to give this a try. Please be aware that that remark was slightly tongue in cheek!.

=====Philosophy====

I have on my other review talked about Philosophy so I am repeating myself a little but I think that it is important to give a brief history of the brand.

Philosophy was founded in 1996 and the vision for the company was to bridge the gap between medical and cosmetic skin care and to allow women all over the world to have the best of both worlds.


=====Packaging====

The hope in a Tube comes in a small tube that has the distinctive white and black packaging that is synonymous with Philosophy. the reason that they use simple writing and childlike images is because they feel that's how skin care should be simple and available to all.
Most of the products have a feel good message on the product and for the Hope in a Tube product it is this "Believe and it shall be yours"


==== The Product ====

Hope in a Tube is a high density eye and lip firming cream that is designed to be used as both a moisturiser and anti-wrinkle treatment for the eyes and lips.
It contains vitamins to help both to smooth and firm the eye and lip area.


==== What It Claims To Do ====

The product claims to give instant smoothing benefits to your skin and give you instant results that can be felt and seen.
It also claims to temporarily erase fine lines and wrinkles around both the eye and lip area.


==== How To Use It ====

It needs to be applied as the last step in your skin care regime so it needs to be applied after moisturiser and before makeup.
When you open the tube the applicator is shaped like a very fine point and you only need to squeeze a tiny amount onto your finger tip and then with your index finger gently pat the cream around the outer corner of your eyes and lips. The cream is very thick so it is important to pat it onto the skin as if you rub it will drag the already delicate areas.


==== The Results ====

Eyes----

When I applied the cream for the first time I was surprised by the thickness of the cream and due to that you can not rub it you just need to gently pat it in which I did and the skin around my eyes did instantly feel tighter and smoother to the touch. I found that although my skin absorbed the cream I still needed to leave a good five minutes before applying my makeup as there was a slight residue from the cream.
I did seem to reduce the appearance of the finer lines around my lines and while it did not erase them completely I did look as though my face was in soft focus.


Lips----

I have to say that I do not really have lines around my mouth as such but I have used the cream and the skin around my lips did look and feel a lot smoother.
I did get my lovely Mum to try it and explained why and after she called my a cheeky sod she tried it and her fine lines around her mouth did instantly look reduced and her skin looked so much smoother and firmer and she said that I felt firm which is the exact feeling I had when I applied it to my eye area. The only down side is that she has now pinched it and I had to buy another.


==== My Conclusion ====

I think that this is a great addition to any skin care routine. it works as both a moisturiser and skin smoother and really did reduce the appearance of my fine lines instantly. the effects also lasted all day and due to the thickness of the cream its a result that you can see and feel and its important for me to feel good as well as look good.

You can purchase online and in some department stores. I purchased mine from QVC and their cost is £24.00 for the 12m tube.
