I absolutely adore Philosophy products but was pretty wary of trying this due to my sensitive skin. I suspiciously eyed my trial for month(in the Philosophy Baby Steps skin care kit). Eventually one day looking at my dull complexion I threw caution to the wind and I am so so glad I did! Step 1 of the 2 step kit is the Vitamin C / Peptide Crystals. These are described on the packaging as micro crystals which help to gently exfoliate the skin. You apply a teaspoon of these to your clean dry skin and then massage them GENTLY over your face for up to a minute. They exude a gorgeously addictive scent of oranges so please do not eat them!! This has to be one of my favourite Philosophy products. However, I have combination skin and my skins loves this product., therefore, for those with very sensitive skin I would not recommend any product that is abrasive in any way on your skin and in that instance I would use a non-granular type exfoliating product. Or if you enjoy most of the effects of the microdelivery system, then perhaps opt for the microdelivery pads, for a less abrasive effect. However, this product works in two parts. I have been using this product for a few months now on and off, I don`t use it every week more like twice a month. This product claims to give your skin a rejuvenating boost. It uses bicarbonate Vitamin C crystals,( the orange scrub part of the kit) to remove dead and dry skin cells, and the Micro Delivery Peel Rapid Activation (the liquid) helps to infuse your skin with Vitamin C, while enhancing a smoother-looking appearance.
