Fantastic for combination/slightly drier/sun-damaged skins (Philosophy Microdelivery Peel Kit)

Advantages: reveals brighter, smoother and clearer skin.

Disadvantages: The crystals can be too harsh for sensitive or very oily skins.

This has to be one of my favourite Philosophy products. However, I have combination skin and my skins loves this product., therefore, for those with very sensitive skin I would not recommend any product that is abrasive in any way on your skin and in that instance I would use a non-granular type exfoliating product. Or if you enjoy most of the effects of the microdelivery system, then perhaps opt for the microdelivery pads, for a less abrasive effect.
However, this product works in two parts. The first part is the 'physical' exfoliating part. It contains granular type vitamin crystals to help remove dead skin cells. The second part of the kit is the activator type gel which turns those granular crystals into a smooth foam type cream. It warms on impact so beware and don't worry, it's perfectly normal and it's supposed to. It;s not uncomfortably warm though so don't let that put you off. The result for me is a smoother, brighter and clearer skin. Because of the type of exfoliator this is, I would not recommend using this more than once a week/every 10 days for very oily skins as it may over-stimulate the oil glands. For those who have oiler skins but love the results I would opt for the microdelivery pads more often and use this once a week for physical dead skin removal. For combination skins I would recommend this at least once a week and top-up the effects by using the 'microdelivery wash' after cleansing at night or on cleaner skin in the mornings. For drier skins I would still recommend this highly once a week, but for very sensitive skins I would avoid, mainly due to the type of exfoliating action this product gives. For anyone with thick ,coarse and/or sun-damaged skin, I would highly recommend for it's brightening and exfoliation effects.

Summary: An excellent way to remove dead skin, but take note according to your skin type.
