Advantages: Removes make-up well and available in large economy sized bottles

Disadvantages: Can be quite drying on the skin, but may causes spots in some skin types.

I received this product as part of the 'make-up optional skin' Philosophy pack. It was probably my least favourite of the bunch since I found it quite drying on the skin. Whilst it does remove make-up well, I would always need to double cleanse if i was wearing stubborn mascara for example and this would make my eyes sting slightly. At first, other than finding it slightly dehydrating on the skin, I found that it had no other negative effect on my skin. However, as the days went on I did break out in a few spots. I have friends who swear by this product and not everything will work for everyone, but it's a bit of a cult favourite in this brand to warrant at least a try. Philosophy have now brought out a 'foaming' version of 'purity' but I have yet to try this version.

Ingredients : water, disodium lauroamphodiacetate, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, coco-glucoside, peg-120 methyl glucose dioleate, aniba rosaeodora (rosewood) wood oil, geranium maculatum oil, guaiacum officinale, cymbopogon martini oil, rosa damascena extract, amyris balsamifera bark oil, santalum album (sandalwood) oil, salvia officinalis (sage) oil, cinnamomum cassia leaf oil, anthemis nobilis flower oil, daucus carota sativa (carrot) seed oil, piper nigrum (black pepper) seed extract, sodium trideceth sulfate, hexylene glycol, cocos nucifera (coconut) alcohol, polysorbate 20, glycerin, carbomer, triethanolamine, methylparaben, propylparaben, imidazolidinyl urea, fd&c yellow no.5

Summary: It may be a cult classic for many, but it's not for everyone.
