Advantages: Does what it says on the box

Disadvantages: Don't let them dry out as they can be hard to remove

Having seen Pond’s Clear Pore strips advertised in a well-known woman’s magazine, I apprehensively bought a pack from a high street chemist. I had previously tried Biore’s Deep Cleansing Facial strips, which I thought were quite expensive at £7.50 for a pack of six, especially as I was not completely satisfied with the results. However, never being one to give in easily, I tried the Pond’s strips.

What They Do
==========

These strips are designed for used on the nose and chin to unblock clogged pores and remove blackheads, whiteheads, and general dirt, oil and debris, which these areas can be prone to.

Instructions for Use

I followed the instructions outlined on the box, which are:

1. Moist the area to be treated with water, i.e. chin or noise – the water is necessary to activate the ingredients on the strip.

2. Apply the strip ensuring that it is firmly pressed down ensuring that the strip makes contact with the skin and that all air bubbles are removed.

3. Wait fifteen minutes, or until the strip has turned stiff and feels dry to the touch.

4. Remove.

Note: If the strip is extremely dry and hard to remove, moisten it with a little water, which will help removal.

Results
=====

I was pleased with the final result – I did not at first believe how much unseen dirt was clogging my pores – although after use, the area treated stung for a short while, my skin felt quite soft and smooth to the touch, and it also felt cleansed.

Where you can buy them
===================

Pond’s Clear Pore strips can be purchased from major supermarkets, Boots the Chemists www.wellbeing.com for £9.99 or over the Internet from Pharmacy2U www.pharmacy2u.co.uk where they are usually cheaper at £4.99.

Don’t take my word for it, try them for yourself.

I've tried these, and weren't really impressed. I now use Nivea Clear Up Strips. They are cheaper, and seem to do the job much better.

Sounds good but a bit pricy for what they are.
