I had always wanted to try a cold cream cleanser but I had no idea it was still being made. Good old Ponds! This little glass jar was hidden away on the bottom shelf in Boots. It was reasonably priced so I grabbed some.

I love this product! I love the smell and the texture - it's like fluffy, gloopy melted marshmallow. Smoothing it onto my face, I feel like Joan Crawford in an elegant 1940s film. I prefer to massage my face with a warm cloth rather than simply tissue off the residue. It does leave a sort of tacky film on your skin, but in the winter months, I prefer to feel that my skin is being protected from the elements. I might not use the product in summer - or I'd only use it at night.

The bonus is, my skin feels really soft afterwards - almost velvety. Because it's in a jar, you scoop the product out with your fingers - which is great if you're sick of those pump dispensers which force you to take twice as much of the product as you need - but it also means you're putting your fingers in there day after day, so I always make sure my hands are clean beforehand!
