Advantages: everything!
Disadvantages: nothing!
So far today i'm having a pretty rubbish day!
Had a meeting at work and found out they're making redundancies in the next 2 weeks, bought a load of skin stuff and my carrier bag split sending the contents into the road; a glass bottle broke and my face mask exploded!! This was the one item I managed to save from the mess.
I was having this facecare spree as my skin isn't great at the minute; my pores are quite large and clogged and it is just more obvious on my pale skin than on most people probably.
I bought these from Bodycare for £1.99.
The box looks identical to the one in the picture above, simple but not cheap.
The small writing on the box says 'Instantly cleans clogged pores' 'Removes blackheads' and 'Larger size for better fit'.
The brand is 'Purederm' not one i've heard of but a nose strip is a nose strip surely?
You get 6 strips in a box and they recommend you use them at the most every 3 days, so a box will last a couple of weeks.
The strips are a funny shape, almost rectabgular but longer in the middle (the bit which covers the length of your nose) They are white and look like they're made out of cotton or something similar.
Using them
------------------------
Wash your skin so there is no make-up or moisturiser residue, wet skin and apply the strip while you're skin is sopping wet. It goes over your nose and slightly onto your cheeks as shown in the pic.
The water helps it stick.
There are lllustrated step by step instructions on the back of the box and the back of each strips seperate packaging, each strip is kept in a little foil pouch on its own.
It feels well stuck so I hope it's going to do some good......
Apparently "You'll notice a dramatic difference after one use and continued use works to tighten pores" Sounds good to me.
I left the strip on for 10-15 minutes as instructed. The next step is to peel it off slowly, I always thought that you'd be best doing it fast like waxing your legs but apparently not so I do as i'm told!
It's not easy to find a bit to start the peeling, you may need to pick at a corner back before you can peel the rest and like I say it really does stick well which i'm hoping is a good thing.
God it hurts to peel it off, my eyes actually began to water.lol.
I as anyone probably would look straight at the strip i've just peeled off my skin! Can I see anything? yep! Yuck but I can actually see the blackheads, mostly on the bits that were down the sides of my nose.
My skin is a bit red but not bad and my pores are definitely 'cleaner' :)
I'm now going to cut one up and use it on my cheeks lol!
You can actually buy ones specially shaped for your chine or forehead too but these were a bigger size for the same price.
I'm sure you could use it anywhere to be honest.
I'm thoroughly impressed!!

- 18/04/09 Great review. I recently had to wear a splint for two weeks after I broke my nose and when I took it off there were so many blackheads I couldn't believe it. I tried the T Zone nose strips and they don't really do anything for me so I'll definitely be looking into these as they sound far superior! x |

- 17/04/09 I prefer the Witch ones but they are far more expensive..x |
