Roc retin ox illuminateur
I tend to change my make up in the summer because after a bit of sun, the winter shades are far too light, and so this is one of my summer purchases this year.
WHAT IS IT?
This is a very light foundation which promises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and make skin look youthful without any obvious foundation on it.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The product comes in a rather jazzy looking bronze box with all the information and instructions on the back. When I open up the box, I find a leaflet extolling the virtues of the Roc products and a small 30ml tube of the product. The tube itself is again the same bronze colour as the box, but with nothing on back apart from a use by date. When I unscrew the lid, i squeeze a bit of the product out and find that mine being Golden, it is a golden colour with a very slight shimmer to it. There is no discernible smell and when I apply it to my skin, it does apply easily and is easily blended, leaving no shininess and strangely 9although expected), no shimmer.
USING IT...
The product should be applied every morning over usual moisturiser and reapplied as necessary.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
Available in fair and golden, this can be bought in chemists and online and the RRP is around the £20 mark, so it is quite pricey for such a small tube.
VERDICT...
This is a very light foundation and as promised, it really is "barely there". It's best to apply one layer and then if needed a second to build up the colour you want although I find that with a tan the Golden just seems to smooth out the complexion and reduce any imperfections.
It does seem quite expensive but a little goes a long way and because I would use this only when i have a tan, I would have to throw any left over once the tan has faded because make up doesn't last forever. This means that i used the very last bit after my last holiday and so there was no waste.
I am not convinced that it reduces wrinkles but it does smooth and moisturise skin. I have found it to be a good every day light foundation and will buy it after my next holiday.
Thanks for reading.
