The one thing I get through alot of are cotton buds. I find them to have a few good uses. Not only do I like to clean my ears with them of course but I like them for correcting eyeliner and mascara mistakes and blotting my lipstick with etc. They are handy for dampening and cleaning round the buttons of remote controls as well. Multi-taskers these are so I do like to have a few to hand! The Packaging: Squarish see-through box with a turquoise label that runs over the top and down the sides to secure the box. On the front in white and dark turquoise writing I'm told it is Sainsbury's Cotton Buds, 200 Cotton Buds 100% Pure Cotton Tip. Other ... Read the complete review

They say that sex is so much better for women than it is men, and one way to tell this is by sticking a cotton wool bud in your ear and wiggling it around. The pleasure this can give is said to be a taster of what women can get. Well, I don't know about all that, but I can certainly say that there is a sort of guilty pleasure in poking my ear with one of these. At 200 in a pot, these are going to last at least a year, and they have a multitude of uses in our house. Primarily, I use them to clean my ears, although I must advise this is not something you should do much of: the body has its own protective system in the creation of ear wax, and ear-drums are ... When my first son arrived into this world 27 months ago, my mum gave me a big hamper of stuff for babies. Included in the hamper was a tub of these cotton buds. I hate the idea of cotton buds so I never really used them on my babies. I would definately not clean there ears or nose with them because I would be too afraid that I would stick it in too far. When I was a young teen I asked my mum if I could clean her ears out with one and stuck it in too far and she was in a lot of pain for a few days so I don't even use them on myself. I recently got my nose pierced and needed to clean it everyday. I found that a bit of cotton wool was too fiddly and then I ... Read the complete review

Introduction I usually buy my cotton wool buds from Superdrug, but I saw these in my local Sainsburys for 30p for 200 and couldn't resist the bargain! My drum is actually a square box that is a bit different to the product image above but the cotton wool buds are as they appear in that picture. What I use them for I don't use them much so I imagine a drum of 200 will last me forever! I mostly use them to apply eye shadow or lip gloss if there is no applicator provided. Once I've used a cotton wool bud once, I throw it away as it's not very hygenic to keep using them. The buds are quite thin so you do need to spend a bit more time applying make-up ...
