Advantages: Helps smooth eye area, lightens and brightens

Disadvantages: Not exactly a miracle cure but for the price, I can't complain !

Along with my normal cleanse and moisturise routine, I make sure I always use an eye cream or gel on a night time as normal moisturisers can be too heavy for delicate eye areas.

Unfortunately for me I'm a dark circle sufferer so I'm always on the lookout for a product that can help to brighten and lighten. Last month I bought a pot of Simple Daily Radiance Eye Cream for about £6.80 for 15ml.

It promised to diminish the appearance of dark circles and transform dullness by brightening skin tone and refining texture which sounded pretty good. I also liked the fact that it was perfume and colour free.

The cream contains mango extract which is supposed to hydrate skin and help to tone and it also contains Ginkgo extract which I guess is to stimulate circulation. The cream comes in a little glass jar with a plastic lid which is packaged in cardboard that has a sort of yellow flash across it.

The cream is thick in constancy and is a yellowy white colour. As I expected there is no distinct smell to it which is just as well for an eye cream. You don't really get a lot in the glass jar but then you only need very little dotted under each eye as it smoothes on very easily.

The results aren't instant, granted the moisture boost around my eyes helped my makeup go on a little easier and smoother but I did notice after a few days, the area was a little brighter and the circles a little less noticeable. I've continued to use this for about a couple of weeks now and I think it's made a bit of a difference (to me anyway). Those pesky dark areas just don't seem as pronounced as they were.

I'll be continuing to use this for a while and may even be tempted to buy a second jar.

Summary: Not a miracle cure more like a helping hand.

Like the sound of this - I'm a dark circle sufferer too, so anything is worth a try!
