Advantages: easy to use, non-drying & get rid of the make-up/ grime
Disadvantages: not keen on smell & don't understand ingredients
The other day I spotted a few Simple products at one of our local pound shops & know that my daughters like them & I use them as well so it seemed as if the offer was too good to miss. I've paid £1.49 or more at other shops for facial wipes & though I'd try Simple rather my normal wipes.
The pale green packaging is unmistakeably Simple & this particular packet has a red label on the rhs stating it's been 'voted best value beauty brand' - not sure by whom as it advises you to look at their website - simpl.co.uk for details.
The packaging is basic & isn't unecessarily fancy & it has a good seal which opens easily & adheres well so the wipes stay fresh & moist.
I didn't get excited over the fragrance - it does say on the front that it has no perfume - but there is a noticeable smell which I can't really identify. Whatever it is it doesn't smell too bad & quickly disappears.
I think these wipes may be thinner & maybe a bit smaller than more expensive ones but feel that they do just as good a job as any other PLUS it states they remove waterproof mascara which indeed it does very well.
On the front of the packet it tells me the following info ~
- no harsh chemicals
- no alcohol or oil
- on perfume or colour
- 'cleansing goodness for naturally healthy skin'
On the reverse it tells me that the product is 'dermattogically tested', suitable for sensitive skin & non-drying for soft skin.
The instructions tell us to 'gently wipe over eyelids, face & neck to cleanse the skin' so it couldn't really be Simpler could it? No need for cotton wool, make-up pads, bottles of cleanser etc.
The ingredients look a bit scary - stearates, sodium citrate etc - they may be OK - who am I to know?!
I DO know that they work though. Last night I used my expensive cleanser & toner ver thoroughly the thought I'd just use a Simple Wipe to see if I'd 'missed' anything - sure enough I had but the wipe removed it in no time.
I wouldn't call them deep cleansing but for everyday removal of grime/ make-up I think they're pretty good & would be suitable for both sexes?
My skin didn't feel particularly soft after use but I know it was clean & I didn't experience any dryness to my face & neck nor did it irritate my eyes.
Both my daughters (22 &18) use these as well & have been pleased with Simple Wipes so I think if you see them on offer they might be well worth trying?
Summary: worth a try for everyday cleansing
