Advantages: doesn't have a strong perfume and leaves skin a little less dry

Disadvantages: isn't exactly the best product around

When ever the final scrapes of face wash disappear I find myself in the shop debating as to whether or not I should buy the same brand again. Half the time I decide against it, determined to find one which will suit my skin type. Being short on money I happened to notice in the cheaper section the brand Simple.

It wasn't your everyday bog standard facial wash as I was certain I'd seen the name 'Simple' on the telly.
Looking at the price it was easy to see that it was miles cheaper than the more overly advertised products and obviously in my circumstances it immediately got my attention!
Simple Foaming Facial Wash has the appeal of having no perfume or colour and doesn't have any soap in it which is great because soap has a tendency to dry my skin out.

The active ingredients are :-
pro vitamin B5
vitamin E
The apparent benefits are that it restores, softens and smooths the skin whilst also moisturing and improving the condition of it. In some cases however maybe it might be better not to believe everything it says on the tube.

It clearly states in the directions section to put a small amount of the slightly thick substance onto your hands and work into a lather. Now when it says a small amount I'm always very wary because 90% of the time I've always ended up having to put more in the palm of my hand simply because it is absoloutly impossible for it to lather.

As was the case with this product. I found that itstead of lathering it stayed a merely turned pale white colour and that was all. 'Massaging' onto wet skin was another problem because it was more like rubbing it in very hard to see if it was even working properly and even now I'm not totally convinced.
There are a few things which are positive though, it does deal well with sensitive skin. I found that my skin was less dry after using it but still had to use a bit moisturiser.

I managed to use half the tube before I decided for myself that it was not doing me much good. I found out simply because one night after coming in to wash I was feeling very lazy and couldn't be bothered to make the trip down the hallway to claim the simple wash. Instead I noticed that my sister had a different face wash from me so I grabbed that in replacement.

The next morning I found that my face felt a lot better for it. Much more softer and actually felt more clean as well. At the time I never triggered it to my sisters miracle face wash so just assumed that it was all down to simples. Needless to say after a couple of days my skin was back to the way it was when using the simple brand.
For £1.80 you get what you pay for and that's not a lot if I'm honest.
