Advantages: soap free

Disadvantages: I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be

I normally buy facial washes that are more on the medicated side due to having the odd breakout of spots now and again.
Having mentioned in conversation to my mum I was getting low on the wash I was currently using, my mum gave me a tube of this by Simple as she had bought it on a buy one get one free offer so had one to spare..Cheers mum - saved me a few pounds!

I tried it that evening in the shower, so is it any good?

Well the Simple range boasts they are 'experts in sensitive skin' using no perfumes, colours and are 100% soap free. Having read all this on the tube I thought it sounded good as my skin does tend to be on the sensitive side.

So firstly Price and packaging~
Well I have seen this facial wash in the pound shops and also in chemists where the price has been considerably more than £1.
Expect to pay between £1 and £3 for a 150ml bottle depending where you shop.

The packaging is a tube shape and has very calming colours of white and pale greens. On the front is the logo and the words 'Moisturising Foaming Facial Wash' '100% Soap Free' 'Active Ingredients Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E' and what looks like some blades of grass which I suppose is to symbolise the whole naturalness of the product..or maybe it's just to look pretty I could be wrong!

The wash is a creamy white colour and is quite thick in consistency.
The tube it comes in is upright standing and has an easy to open (pale green) flip lid.

Testing the product~
I used this whilst in the shower so as my face was already wet, I squeezed a little of the wash into the palm of my hand and proceeded to rub into my cheeks first then my forehead and chin.

Once there was quite a lather I rinsed it off and was fairly pleased with the results but not as much as I expected to be. My skin didn't feel tight like some products can leave it feeling after cleansing, though it didn't feel as soft as my regular wash does either so that was a little disappointing. On the plus side I did find my moisturiser absorbed into my skin much easier after use so not all bad!

So why am I not as excited about this as I should be? It certainly ticks all the right boxes but it just didn't leave my skin feeling as good as I hoped it would - that's not say it won't work for other people.

It lathers up nicely and as you only need a small amount I think this will last me for quite a while, but I will be returning to my usual facial wash when this runs out I think.

Misellaneous~
Contains no animal derived ingredients
Dermatologically tested and approved
Ph balanced

Summery~
Nice enough and leaves the skin feeling clean and soft but just for me..

Summary: not really for me
