Advantages: coverage, long lasting

Disadvantages: bottle

Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer has been a must have product on my shopping list for many years now! When I made the mistake of using an acne crème, I stripped layers away from my skin (and was still left with the acne!) it came to my rescue.

I have oily skin so a light moisturizer, used every few days (though more in winter) is ample. I use around two pea-sized amounts when I apply the product, sparingly, to my face, neck, ears and collarbone area. (Apply in sweeping upwards/outwards/circular motions to stimulate the skin and when applying to the neck, go from bottom to top to help reduce skin sagging). Best applied after the toner has dried.

I tend to use this product slightly less in the summer, mixing it either with the SPF version or, on sunnier days, only using the SPF version. It does mix well with the SPF version and gives a great coverage whilst helping both products to go further and last longer.

Bought for around £1.98 at Tesco for a 200ml (+50% extra free) bottle, this product tends to last around 2 - 3 months. It is great in winter when the harsher weather batters your skin as you go out and about, and you can buy smaller bottles to keep in your bag for re-application. If you have very dry skin, I would recommend Simple's 'Rich Hydrating Moisturizer'.

The only problem I have with this product is the bottle. With it being a white plastic, it is hard to determine how much you have left. In addition, when you do start running dry, it is difficult to squeeze the remnants out. There is a fair bit left inside the bottle when the product no longer comes out just by squeezing, to get the rest, you need to cut part of the bottle away, which is difficult! When it is running low, store it upside down (ensuring the lid is tight) and you will get a little more out of it before you start cutting it up.

This product also works well as a night moisturizer.

Summary: Simple, cost cutting and effective
