Advantages: Refreshing, light, hydrating, great value

Disadvantages: None

I got this about a month ago in a sample size 5ml bottle free with a pack of Simple face wipes. I didn't actually need a new pack of face wipes at the time but the free eye cream convinced me to buy them!

Simple claim this eye cream will reduce puffiness and refresh tired eyes. It contains multivitamins including vitamin B5 which softens and soothes. It also contains jojoba oil to brighten and shea butters to replenish. The actual bottle size is 15ml and it costs £3.91 in Boots.

***Packaging...

It comes in a little white tube with green lettering in different shades reading 'Simple Kind to eyes balm and a green swirly pattern beneath this. I usually have a moan the Simple packaging but in this case I think it is quite fitting for the product and such basic packaging looks good on such a small bottle.

***The Cream...

The cream is white in colour and has a fresh smell, which isn't any particular fragrance just a clean smell, like with most of the Simple stuff. It is a lovely consistency, it is neither thick nor watery, just right in my opinion. I'm 22 so I want to use some cream on my eyes but nothing too heavy which will make my eyes age quicker but I think the texture of this is just right for my eyes.

When I apply the cream it has an instant cooling and refreshing effect on my skin, I really like putting it on in the mornings to wake my eyes up. Despite this it doesn't sting or make the eyes feel frozen! It is easy to massage in and whilst doing this it has a really nice soothing effect. It sinks in really quickly yet leaves the skin feeling hydrated and flexible.

I only use a tiny bit each time as I don't want to overload my skin with the product, and I find this cream easy to spread on the skin so you can make that little bit cover the whole eye area. A few hours after application my eyes still feel fresh and hydrated. The cream has never irritated my eyes or the skin around my eyes in any way.

In the short time I was using the cream I did see a difference in my eyes, the skin looked lighter and felt tighter. I plan on buying another bottle of this once I have run out of the one I was currently using. I think it makes a great eye cream for young people or anyone wanting a lighter cream, particularly for use during the day.

***Overall Opinion...

I would recommend this eye cream as a great cream for protecting the delicate skin around the eyes during the day without weighing the skin down with heavy creams. It is a great value product that does everything it says on the bottle.

I wasn't entirely sure whether you just used the free pack. If it's that good, how come you haven't gone on to be a long term user? ;P
