I haven't washed my face since I was in my early teens. Friends often look aghast when I tell them this and my poor Mum was horrified when I took up such nasty, unclean habits! However I was determined because the Mum of my best friend was a beauty consultant (at least she sold perfume and cosmetics in the local chemist's) and she told me water was bad for my face and soap even worse. Now I thought she was quite old (in retrospect she was probably about 39!) and had beautiful skin so I thought it wise to take her advice especially as I felt soap and water made my face come up all blotchy and feeling tight. Mum had to acquiesce as I used my own pocket money to buy some ... Read the complete review

I care about my skin very much, and try really hard to look after it, by drinking lots of water, not smoking anymore, and only using certain products to stop my skin from getting really dry and uncomfortable, but also so spot outbreaks become less often and my skin is much cleaner and healthier. Currently I also cleanse, tone and moisturise, but have been changing products very regularly, can't find a really good product to stick with. But after using the brand Simple's soap for my body, and was very impressed with the results. I went into Boots in search of other Simple products to try, and see if they were as good as the soap was, and I found Simple Purifying Cleansing ... Read the complete review

I have always had sensitive skin and when I was younger, I suffered quite badly with eczema. I now always try and opt to use products that are fragrance free as they are more gentle to my sensitive skin. I always used Oil of Olay Cleansing lotion but having run out, I popped to my local Tescos to buy some more, only to find that they had run out. I then decided to have a look through the products to see if anything else would suit my needs. This is when I came across Simple Cleansing Lotion. About Simple In 1960, Simple brought out their soup which is claimed to be the first fragrance and colour free soap. In 1978, they expanded their range to ... Read the complete review

I'm a big fan of Simple's Skincare. Very Gentle and packed full of added goodness such as Pro Vitamins and UV Fliters etc. They are also PH Balanced to maintain the skins own natural balance. The Cleansing Lotion is designed to gently and effortlessly remove all traces of makeup, included eye products. To use I apply a small amount of lotion to a cotton wool pad before gently pressing it onto my eyes. After a few seconds the lotion has dislodged all my eye makeup (including waterproof mascaras and gel liners) and it wipes away easily. Previous eye makeup removers have sometimes caused a slight stinging sensation or even left my vision a little ... Read the complete review

I was the type of person who just doused my face with good old soap and warm water until my older sister introduced me to the world of cleansing, toning and moisturising. In an effect to halt my genetic clock and stop my face from turning into a tan and weathered Treasure Island style map, I turned to the 'Simple' range to assist me. The brand's products are all non perfumed and not coloured, so there is never any danger of getting a product whose aroma you dislike. Furthermore, the lack of added chemicals means your skin is less likely to react, especially important if you have sensitive skin. This cleansing lotion comes in a large 200ml sized ...
