Advantages: Gives quite good results
Disadvantages: You need to use it for a while
Having been a fan of the simple daily radiance eye cream, I was in the shop looking to replace my supply when I spotted this on a discount price offer. Not being one to pass up on a bargain I decided that I would give it a go. It sounded like it was a more intense formula than I would normally have chosen but at ₤3.50 instead of the normal ₤12.99 price tag I was more than willing to try (plus a little extra help never goes amiss).
The cream comes in a gold coloured box with the simple logo on and Regeneration Plus written on the side. It looks quite an expensive cream by virtue of the packaging alone and the cream is contained in a nice little gold tube instead of the glass jar that my normal eye cream comes in which makes it handy to keep in your makeup bag.
The cream promises an anti-aging formula with smoothing and firming properties that instantly reduce the appearance of dark circles and reduce puffiness around the eye area. One of the active ingredients in the formula is Iris Extract as well as natural marine extract. I'm not sure exactly what kind of properties these have but it all sounds impressive.
One of the things I like about the simple range is that they are all 100% perfume and colour free and they are all formulated especially for sensitive skin and when you are looking for a cream to use round the sensitive eye area, you want to stay away from strong perfumes and harsh colourings.
You get 15ml of cream in the tube but the directions state that you only need a dot or two under the eye each morning so this should last you quite a while. The tube is designed so that you only get a small amount out at a time, it has a small tip on the end of the tube to make sure you don't loose half your cream when you squeeze the tube for the first time!
I've been using this for about 1 month now, I don't think I've made much of a dent in the cream so I'm expecting this will last me a good while longer. Now as usual being a dark circle sufferer I was living in the hope of great things and amazing miracles from this little tube especially when it boasts 'instant' reduction of dark circles.
As usual the reality didn't quite live up to the expectations, although there was a noticeable difference after using it for a couple of weeks. The skin around my eyes looked a bit more hydrated and the fine lines did appear a little smoother and less noticeable.
Now by no means is this a miracle cure, but I with persistence I think this gives fairly good results although it's far from the 'instant results' claim on the box it's worth giving a go if you have under eye 'issues' and it also gives quite a good base for that camouflage makeup.
Summary: Worth picking up if it's on offer!!

- 05/06/09 I hate the way that Dooyoo goes funny sometimes.. Your review now reads '₤3.50 instead of the normal ₤12.99 price tag' I'm assuming that it was 12.99 now 3.50? |
