My daughter has suffered with spotty and slightly greasy skin for about a year now despite having a healthy diet so I decided to try this after it was recommended by a lady in boots because it contains no perfumes or colours and it supposed to be very natural. I bought this from ASDA, The toner promises to gently soften skin whilst tightening pores. I thought I should give it a try because my skin isn't lovely either. The toner comes in a green plastic bottle with a screw top lid that I often put down and then have to have a search for afterwards because I've got terrible memory. The top has a narrow hole where the toner comes from but it comes out ... This toner has worked miracles for my skin. As I have mentioned in some of my other reviews my skin is often oily and this product does exactly what it claims to do. Why I chose this product: I must admit I'm a bit of a skin care product junkie and decided to vary my skincare range for a change and go for a toner as I thought I'd attempt the cleanse, tone and moisturise regime that many of my friends swear by. I chose this toner as Simple is a brand that I trust and it exceeded my expectations. How to use: I use the toner both in the morning and at night by putting the product on a cotton wool ball and wiping around my face and neck. I usually use this ... Read the complete review

I am an avid fan of the Simple skin care range and have been using their products for several years now. I am in my twenties and suffer with mild adult acne and have oily skin. My skin can be sensitive to harsher products but to date, I have had no problems with this product. The clear bottle is great for showing you how much you have left. I use this product twice a day and tend to get around 6 - 8 weeks per bottle which is not bad for the £2 to £3 price tag (depending where you buy it, I get mine from Tesco for around £1.98). I find using cotton wool pads, (slightly larger ones - cut into 4 so you get 2 days worth per pad) works better than ... Read the complete review

As I am getting older and my skin is not in fantastic condition, I thought it might be time to add a toner to my skincare routine. Before, I just used cleansing wipes and moisturiser, but apparently a toner is a useful product to use as it should minimise pores and remove any last traces of make-up or cleanser. I chose to try Simple Freshen Up Purifying Toner because I am familiar with Simple face products. I have used Simple cleansing cloths for years and always found them to work well. The toner comes in a light green, see through bottle with a dark green, plastic, screw top. The bottle states that the toner is 100 per cent alcohol free and is pH ... Read the complete review

I felt I just had to write a review about this Simple Soothing Toner as my daughter & I have found it to be really good for the price & would recommend it. I think it's very important to cleanse, tone & moisturise the face & neck & wish these sorts of items had been available when I was much younger! The clear liquid is contained in a green sturdy polyprpylene bottle which has a screw-top lid which, when removed, reveals a smallish hole so you can control how much/little you need to pop onto a cotton wool ball/ make-up pad. In the directions it advises you use a 'generous amount' & even doing this every morning & night ... Read the complete review
