Advantages: easy to use, very effective, great price

Disadvantages: none for us

I felt I just had to write a review about this Simple Soothing Toner as my daughter & I have found it to be really good for the price & would recommend it.

I think it's very important to cleanse, tone & moisturise the face & neck & wish these sorts of items had been available when I was much younger!

The clear liquid is contained in a green sturdy polyprpylene bottle which has a screw-top lid which, when removed, reveals a smallish hole so you can control how much/little you need to pop onto a cotton wool ball/ make-up pad. In the directions it advises you use a 'generous amount' & even doing this every morning & night there is still plenty left - it lasts ages.

It has a very mild fragrance which is pleasant & fresh although it does state that it's 100% perfume free so I'm assuming that the smell is the chamomile & witch hazel that the toner contains.

The bottle I bought cost £3 from Superdrug & is 200ml which is considerably less than the one I usually use yet just as effective in my opinion.

According to the information on the bottle it's OK for sensitive skin, alcohol free & pH balanced.

All the ingredients are listed on the reverse of the bottle but, as usual, all gobbledegook to me I'm afraid. It does tell me, however, that it contains no animal derived ingredients!

It claims to 'remove the last traces of make-up & cleanser' & this it certainly does because the evidence is on the used cotton wool ball even after a thorough cleanse.

Unlike some toners which contain alcohol this Simple Toner doesn't dry out the skin - it does exactly what it says it does & I'd recommend it to anyone of any age who cares about their face & neck.

summary
~
- great price for what you get.
- easy to use.
- lasts ages.
- non-drying.
- removes any muck / grime/ make-up that hasn't been removed even if you've thoroughly cleansed the face & neck.
- alcohol-free.
- suits sensitive skins.
- recommended!

Summary: just as effective as much more expensive toners
