Recently, I've been on a bit of a Soap & Glory binge, I love their products and plan to try them all out, and maybe even replace some of my holy grail products with Soap & Glory products - I've already done this with some. So I headed out to Boots today (I dragged my mum there after I bought her breakfast), and as there is a Soap & Glory promotion going on right now (buy any S&G product for 1/3 off), I bought ALOT of things - so expect plenty Soap & Glory reviews within the next week or two. One of these products was the one I'll be talking about in this review - Scrub Your Nose In It, which if you can't tell by the name, it is a facial scrub which doubles up as a mask.
The scrub comes in a tall, squeezy, pink plastic tube (much like a traditional toothpaste tube, but it stands up on end). It is the same colour of pink as most of the Soap & Glory products, and has the same quirky design too, so you know it's a Soap & Glory product without even reading the tube. On the front of the bottle, I'm told 'At last - a simple solution for large pores and clogging, and you can just SCRUB YOUR NOSE IN IT'. 'Multi - tasking scrub and mask marvel'. 'Special fruit-acid formula. Leaves skin looking brighter and more radiant. ' 'Helps refine large pores and prevent blemishes'. When I read that, it was the deciding factor for me. I first picked it up just because I thought the tube was cute, but the rest of the facial scrub tubes were cute too, so that wouldn't decide for me. A product made to prevent blemishes, refine large pores, a solution for clogging AND it doubles up as an oil-absorbing mask, what WON'T this product do?
As you can probably guess, I rushed home (after a quick trip into sainsburys), and immediately headed to my bedroom, grabbed my hairband, hair tie and dressing gown, it was time to get scrubbing! I opened the tube and looked in, it was blue paste (again, much like toothpaste - it even smelled like toothpaste, minty fresh!), it didn't look like it work well as a cleanser though, so I used my usual cleanser beforehand.
Now I had a clear canvas of make-up free skin, I followed the directions on the back of the tube (Apply a pea-sized dollop of Scrub Your Nose In It to a damp t-zone - that's your nose, chin and forehead - massage gently in circular motions, then extend out to the less clogged places on your face. Rinse well and follow with moisturiser). As I was used to pressing scrubbing firmly with my old facial scrub, I was quite surprised at how abrasive this was when I couldn't even see the scrubbing beads! After I started to scrub more gently, I was amazed, this really was feeling wonderful. I rinsed it off and felt my nose (the roughest part on my face), for once it was smooth! My nose hasn't felt like this since I was around 11! My skin feels so velvety smooth. Could this be my holy grail?
Anyway, I finished up with my usual toner and moisturiser then popped out to come write this review.
I usually wouldn't write a review on a scrub or cleanser until a week or two after purchase as I like to see if it will break me out or not, but I'm so positive and excited about this, that I couldn't wait! Plus, it may sound crazy, but I can actually see my blemishes clearing up already, it really is fabulous.
This wonderful paste was £4.56 for 125ml (a bargain, you only need a pea-sized amount, this will last you for months, and with a 24 month shelf life, it really is wonderful). If I'd bought this product when the 1/3 off offer wasn't on, I'd have paid £6.85, still a price I'd be willing to pay for these results.
Just remember - scrub gently or it will feel quite abrasive.
Please, if you are looking for a new facial scrub, I advise you to give this a try, it's already my favourite product that I've tried this year.
Thank you for reading! (and let me know if you try it out!)
Summary: I really can't get over how amazing this is...
