Advantages: Moisturising
Disadvantages: Doesn't work on me
Soap and glory the fill monty
With a 3 for 2 offer on at Boots and wanting to try these products, this is one of the products I decided to try.
THE PROMISES...
The product promises to be a dab on instant wrinkle filler and although I always try to convince myself that I am not taken in by this kind of product, I am clearly seduced by the promises. The virtual retouching technology will apparently help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles (not the wrinkles!).
This all sounds very good to me; reduction of wrinkles without anything more scary than a bit of cream.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The packaging is similar to most of the other Soap and Glory products, and is very reminiscent of the advertising in the 1950s.
The box itself is pink with lots of writing in different fonts, all extolling the virtues of the product, even proclaiming in large letters that it's "AMAZING!"
Inside the box is a small 12ml clear glass bottle with a scre on/off aluminium colour lid. Around the sides of the small tub is the name of the product and an indication that it lasts for 24 months. There are no instructions because these are on the side of the box
I unscrew the lid and the product irself is white with no discernible aroma. The product is quite thick but not overly creamy and so is easy to apply to the skin.
HOW TO USE IT...
Simply dab a fine film of the product over any fine lines and wrinkles.
Very simple, because the product is a nice thick but not too thick cream and is easy to apply, sinking quickly into the skin with no sticky residue.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
Available from Boots, Beyond Beauty and Harvey Nichols. That's all! Costs around £8 for the small tub
www.soapandglorycosmetics.com doesn't give too much information away but apparently the products will soon be available direct from the website.
VERDICT...
It's an attractive little tub, and I like the packaging. The cream is easy to use and because it has no smell and leaves no residue or greasiness i hardly know I'm applying it. That could be part of the problem- it doesn't seem to have done anything for any wrinkles. It does claim that it has been tested on women's crow feet but when I actually take note of what I have read, it doesn't actually say whether ot works or not.
It's not to say that it won't work on anyone but for me it did nothing apart from moisturise the eye area. This is maybe where its strength lies, moisturising, but in my experience, it didn't reduce wrinkle in seconds or even weeks.
I wouldn't buy it again and so can't recommend it on my experience but remember everyone's skin reacts differently.
Thanks for reading.
