Advantages: Funky packaging, Effective, Price

Disadvantages: Easy to lose!

I was introduced to this stuff during one of my ill-advised decisions to grow a goatee. Fed up with slicing chunks of it off as my face was obscured by foam, resulting in a lop-sided look, it was pointed in the direction of this stuff. Originally in a boring black bottle, its now re-packaged in a very funky cone shaped squeeze-y thing that comes in a case of its own. 3 drops (just 3, ladies and gents) worked into your mush (or legs) will soon result in the closest and smotthest shave in the world...ever! Couple this with a decent razor (mach 3 for preference) and you'll be as aerodynamic as is humanly possible.

Its closest competitor would be the King of Shaves stuff, but I've always been a bit wary of this, as they produce a whole slew of products which to me seem identical (do you really need both an exfoliating pre-shave scrub or a post shave balm as well as the oil? - if you're that delicate, I don't think you should be going outside, let alone shaving.......;)

Postscript

Upon review of this opinion, I think that I've been a little bit sparse in describing it / rating it. Somersets can be a little bit tricky to track down. I've seen it on sale in Sainsbury's and Boots all though this might be a regional thing. KoS is more prevelant, but its worth searching for it.

The smell is hard to describe. I'd hazard a guess at sandalwood or cedar, but what ever it is, is very pleasant.

As stated on the bottle, 3 drops is enough - however, a tip would be that if you've let things slide for a few days, really soak your face in a hot flannel to soften things up first. If you're cursed with brillo-like hair, bosh on a few more drops as required.

Another tip - clean that razor. Fill the sink very full with cold water and swoosh the razor around after 2-3 strokes, as the oily hair do tend to clog it up somewhat.

After the shave, cleanse with v.cold water, as your pores
will be very open and your skin will feel the better for it (you'll aso reduce the chance of spots).

Have fun!
