Mens shaving has probably the same if not more variety than womens makeup. Choosing stuff to buy, or not to buy is a minefield. Walk into your local chemist or supermarket and you are bombarded with hundreds of different creams, oils and gels. So, what sets this little guy apart from the rest of them? The first thing you see ... Read the complete review

I hate shaving. I have tried everything under the sun to stop that horrible red rash you get, plus the discomfort and the itch. Shaving foam is mere tokenism, shaving gel is marginally better in that it lets the razor glide over the skin, but the very fact that it lubricates also lessens the effect of the razor getting a grip on the stubble - also ... I usually use king of shaves oil and gel when i shave but i am always willing to give new things a try, so when i saw Somersets original shaving oil in my local pound shop i thought i would get one to put aside for emergencies, it ended up in my travel bag and gets used quite often now. INTRODUCTION With an ever-growing cavalcade of shaving foams, gels and balms, it hardly seems possible that just two or three drops of oil could replace the need for lathering up every morning. But that's just what 'Somersets original shaving oil' claims to do, with each 0.4oz bottle containing enough magical liquid to deliver an ... Read the complete review

I tried some Somersets shaving oil on holiday from a friend (hadn't heard of it before) and was a bit sceptical that you could shave with only a few drops. I'd tried the King of Shave oil before and was very unimpressed so was even more surprised finding that not only does this give a fantastic shave with a razor, it also works brilliantly with my ... I tried Somersets Orginal oil about four months ago after being recommended it by a close friend. I was blown away by the effectiveness of this simple but brilliant shaving oil. I have taken with me on a recent buisness travel because it's so incredibly small, compact and convenient. I highly recomment Somersets Shaving Oil ... Read the complete review

I'm getting a huge fruity bouquet with (sniff) hints of Menthol, Cinamon and Eucalyptus - a superb vintage!! No I haven't been nipping at the Scotch again (not that much at this time of day anyway!) I've simply discovered the best shaving product on the market. I managed to do this completely by accident but rather than keep ... Read the complete review

For many years I have been plagued with very sensitive skin. Every day, I went through the pain of razor burn and dryness caused by shaving. I have tried all the shaving gels, creams and potions available, but for some reason, I had never tried shaving oil. To be honest, I thought it was just another marketing gimmick, but now I know it's not. ... Read the complete review

I was introduced to this stuff during one of my ill-advised decisions to grow a goatee. Fed up with slicing chunks of it off as my face was obscured by foam, resulting in a lop-sided look, it was pointed in the direction of this stuff. Originally in a boring black bottle, its now re-packaged in a very funky cone shaped squeeze-y thing that comes ... Read the complete review

I use Somersets shaving oil for my travel bag for which its just great. You get a very close shave and its a really small and light package with none of the worries about taking an aerosol on an aeroplane. I don't use it for day to day use because I find I get a bit sore with it, and because it seems to blunt razors really quickly. ... Read the complete review

...I don't mean pinch it from Boots. That would be wrong! And you'd get caught. It only costs a couple of quid, man - think about what you're doing! Somerset's tiddly little plastic bottle of oil is ideal for taking on holiday or if you're staying somewhere for a night and want to get all minimal in the toiletry department ... This is a fine product. I was sceptical when I was told that oil could more effective than shaving foam. You know where you are with a scything lunge through a mass of foam, I thought. Not so now. After having used this and the king of shaves oil based products I will never use foam again. The finished result is very smooth ... Read the complete review

Recently I was walking around the chemist looking for yet another new razor to try, every razor I get, after a couple of shaves rip's me to shreads. But instead of a razor I spotted The Ultimate Experience shaving oil for men, so I got some to try. You only need 2-3 drops, rubbed between palms and apllied to your wet face then shave as normal, ... Read the complete review

On first sight, this very small black plastic bottle does not look like it contains everything you need for loads of the best shaves you are ever likely to get! I was browsing in Boots, looking for my husband's usual shaving foam when I spotted this unusal item, I read the blurb which says "easy to use, wet skin, put 3 drops in ... Read the complete review
