... gentle massage in circular motions. I find the granules of this scrub quite coarse, so I personally use very little each time and massage only very gently, otherwise I could end up with red blotchy patches as I had done before when I first used it the first few times. It's also much gentler on your skin, if you make sure you use lots of water when you're scrubbing, I find this helps to dissolve the granules a bit more. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with warm water. The scrub does tend to stick a little, so a little bit...more

Premium Review St. Ives Apricot Scrub: Scruby scrub scrub (384 words)

I first used St Ives scrub when I discovered it in my family home - presumably my mother had taken to it. There's been a lot of hype surrounding the scrub in recent years and I had heard glowing accounts from friends and family alike. And I must say, I wasn't disappointed. The scrub is around £2.50 - £3.00 depending on where you buy it - Superdrug often has it on offer, BOGOF or similar. Its bottle is white, blue and apricot and is rather large compared to a lot of facial scrubs - 150ml to be precise. St Ives do a range of different apricot scrubs, including a good one called "Radiance Cleanser," but I must admit, the original is my ...

-"Discover The Swiss Secrets For Healthy Looking, Smooth, Radiant Skin"- ~# St. Ives Swiss Formula Apricot Scrub #~ I like this product. I have used the Apricot scrub on and off for a few years now, and the strength I am reviewing is 'gentle', for dry and sensitive skin. The size is 150ml, and cost £2.47 from Boots The Chemist, and the shelf life is 12 months. It is hypo allergenic, and is suitable for face and body. The stand up plastic, squeezable container is white and apricot colour in appearance. To the top of the tube are the words St. Ives written on a backdrop of white Alps, ...

Premium Review St. Ives Apricot Scrub: Take the rough with the smooth (1299 words)

Before I start I should mention that I am reviewing the gentle variety of this product for dry/sensitive skin. You see being a sensitive soul (cough) has meant that I have also been afflicted by very sensitive skin and so exfoliation has always been a nightmare for me. An exfoliator that is too gritty leaves my skin red raw, chemical peels have the same impact but worse, exfoliating masks seem to do nothing as do many exfoliators for sensitve skin and my homemade oat, honey and banana mix meant that I had to have a well stocked larder and it seemed like a waste of good food to me (oh and it was incredibly messy). A while ago I swapped my cleansing ...
