Advantages: Doesn't hurt, cleans the skin
Disadvantages: None
This is my absolute favourite facial scrub.
When you squeeze it out it does feel very rough and I was very nervous about putting it on my face as my skin is very sensitive and I thought it would react against it. I found that actually although it did feel gritty against my skin it was not painful. When rubbed it does remove dead skin from the surface very quickly. It leaves my skin feeling clean and very sensitive to the touch after using it.
I do find I want to use a moisturise fairly soon afterwards and as I haven't been able to get hold of a St Ives one, I tend to use an unscented one.
The smell is gorgeous and as again a precaution I was not used to using scented products, it was nice to use something that smelt so fresh. Saying that though the fragrance is not overwhelming and is nowhere near as permeating as perfume.
As it says on the bottle it can also be used on your body. I have found it does such a good job as a scrub without causing damage or pain that it is the only scrub I will use now on more sensitive areas of my body.
The only problem I really have with this is that I can't find the matching moisturiser in any local stores!!!
Summary: Good as a regular use scrub,
