Advantages: Works well
Disadvantages: None
I've been using this face scrub on and off for years as it's cheap, simple, and effective. The price varies, but I usually get mine for between £1.50 and £1.99 from Bodycare.
It comes in a white squeezy plastic tube, which you can just about see the product through, so you can tell how much is left, but not just at a glance. The lid has a flip-top which fastens nice and tightly, so there's no worries of it coming open in a bag if you take it travelling with you. The tube can stand on it's lid so that the product is always ready to come straight out when you go to use it, which makes it much easier than trying to squeeze it from the other end of the tube!
The scrub itself is of a very creamy consistency, and it's fairly thick in texture too. It has little grains distributed fairly evenly throughout it, and they also seem fairly uniform in size. It has a creamy scent to it with a slight undertone of apricot, which is quite nice though nothing special.
The thick texture of the scrub means that it does take a while to work it around the face, as it doesn't spread especially easily, and it doesn't really lather up. Because it's creamy it feels nice on the skin, and the exfoliating grains are very gentle, they don't drag or scratch the skin at all. It rinses off easily with just a little water, and you're not left with the grains all over your face.
My skin always feels amazingly smooth after using this, and as soft as a baby's bum! It doesn't dry the skin out or have any harsh effects, and it seems to actively moisturise my skin, which I don't think I can say of any other scrub I've ever used. My skin feels great and looks really healthy and radiant.
I think this is a great scrub and great value for money, and I'll carry on buying it.
Summary: Good value, effective scrub
