Advantages: Leaves skin smooth, Heals skin

Disadvantages: None

Face masks have always baffled me. They say on the packets that they clean your skin, remove impurities, make your skin smoother etc, but I never found one that seemed to work for me or make any difference. Then I found this product. The thing that made me buy it was that it said it was a three minute treatment. I don’t like taking too much time with beauty care; I like it to get on and do its job. Also I was impressed by two of the ingredients – clay and zinc. I knew that clay was good for absorbing oils in the skin and that zinc was a good at healing. So convinced that this might work I promptly bought it.

The product comes in a 75ml upside-down tube, which is white with a blue lid. It is a self heating mask (hence the ‘sauna mask). It is blue in colour and feels dense in texture because of the clay. The smell is neutral and is perhaps a little clinical. The tube also says the mask is antibacterial.

How To Use
----------------

The instructions say to apply to moistened skin. Personally I prefer to prepare my skin first.
*First I clean my skin
*Then I use a facial scrub. This gives a good base for the mask.
*While my skin is still damp I apply the face mask. The moistness on the skin lets the mask slide on properly, otherwise it is difficult to apply properly. Make sure you are liberal with it, since a thin layer won’t be very effective. Use circular movements and you will feel the self heating mask begin to work. Some people don’t like this on their skin as they say they don’t like the warm feeling; I don’t mind it. Then leave on for three minutes.
*After three minutes rinse with warm water.

I found it left my skin smooth and bumpless, and importantly, not dry which I would have expected from a clay mask. If you use a moisturiser, this would be the ideal time to do it as it would be absorbed well. I've also noticed how it reduces any spots and blackheads. I’ve stuck with this mask because it works so well for me

The tube contains approx 10 applications and can be bought from Boots for £3.74.
