Advantages: Refreshing
Disadvantages: Too harsh
I bought this along with a couple of other products from the same range which I use regularly. It costs around £3.50 from Boots and Superdrug, but I quite often see it in Bodycare for about £2.89.
It comes in a plastic bottle with a flip up lid. The lid does fasten very tightly so there's no worries of it spilling if you take it travelling with you or keep it in a bag. Unfortunately there is no real dispenser on the bottle, just a small hole which you pour the liquid from. This can make it quite messy to use and it can be quite difficult to get just the right amount out.
It's very easy to use, just put some onto a cotton pad and wipe it over your face. It smells quite nice and fresh, with a cucumber scent just like the rest of the range. It feels refreshing on the skin and quite cooling also. It does make my skin tingle slightly while I'm using it and feels as though it could be a little too harsh.
After using it my skin feels very tight indeed and I find I have to apply a lot of moisturiser to get it to feel comfortable again. After a few days using it my skin feels tight all the time, and it becomes quite dry in places. I think this is suitable only really for very oily skins, as it's it really does strip your skin of all the oil and even essential moisture.
I will not be buying this again as it's just too harsh for my skin, but I will be trying another in the Garnier range instead.
Summary: Probably good for only very oily skins

- 01/06/09 I have used this before, I much prefer Clinique's clarifying lotion though! Good review :) |
