It smells fresh and light of cucumber like the rest of the range. It does feel nice and smooth and cooling on the skin when I apply it, and it does an amazing job of mattifying my skin and keeping it shine-free. However, it doesn't sink into my skin, instead forming a layer on top of my skin, which just makes it feel really dirty. I find because the moisturiser is so thick i...more

Premium Review Garnier Synergie Pure Sebum Control Moisturiser: Yuck! (316 words)

I bought this after having good experiences with other products in the same range. It costs £3.91 for a 75ml tube in Boots. It comes in a white squeezy tube with a blue flip-top lid. The lid fastens tightly but the hinge of the flip top is very easily broken, which can cause the lid to come open in a bag, so not great for travelling with. Because the tube is squeezy it means you can easily control how much you get out of the tube. The moisturiser is a light blue colour and a very thick consistency. At my age I would have thought greasy skin might have been a thing of the past, but on the contrary it actually seems to be getting worse. I get really wound up with people saying I'm lucky having oil slick skin because I won't wrinkle as quickly - its always people who don?t look like they have chip pan facials that say things like that? And to make matters worse my skin type is the dreaded 'combination' skin - it doesn't know if it wants to be dry and wrinkly or oily and spotty, a bit like having hair with greasy roots and dry ends (I've got that too, but thats self inflicted from too much hair abuse!) I will admit I wasn?t ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Garnier Synergie Pure Sebum Control Moisturiser: Moisturiser? (310 words)

This is quite a nice product, but I do have some issues with it. It can be bought for £3.99 for 75ml from Boots and is part of the 'Pure' range which is meant for oily or problem skin. It comes in a white tube with a flip top lid. The lid fastens tightly so spills shouldn't be a problem and the hole the moisturiser comes out of is just the right size so that you can easily control how much you get out. The moisturiser is a very pale blue colour and it smells lovely and fresh, like cucumbers. The texture is fairly thick, but it feels very nice and smooth. You don't need to use much as it spreads nicely over the skin. It leaves the skin ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review No make up Please... (231 words)

This is the first facial moisturiser that I have found that really does keep my skin from being too oily, while at the same time it moisturises my skin! It seems to stop my skin from producing excess oil for an hour or more at a time, and this is a good thing. My skin is far too oily. The only problem I found with the product is that it is really not a good idea to wear it underneath makeup. I tried to do this several times, as it kept my skin matt for a while. Unfortunately, with most of the brands of makeup that I tried with it, it makes the makeup clump, or curdle, or kind of "peel" off. It's difficult to explain, but the makeup will ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Garnier Synergie Pure Sebum Control Moisturiser: A product that actually works! (144 words)

I bought this product a few months ago and have been very impressed with the results. After several years of testing products to try to find somthing to stop oilyness and spots but prevent my skin from drying out or becoming sensitive I think I found it! Synergie sebum control moisturiser has a really nice fresh fragrance which is not at all overpowering and is in simple, modern looking packaging. It is in a tube and this makes it very easy to get the amount you want to use quickly and without any waste. A particularly good aspect of the product is that make up can be applied immedialty afterwards and it doesnt need a lot of rubbing it. I give this ...  Read the complete review
