Advantages: smells lovely, moisturises, good price
Disadvantages: none
I bought this as I'm starting to get older now. *cries* I'm getting lines around my eyes due to my usage of my contact lenses. I scrunch up my eyes to get them out. My mum used to this until she said that she had to get a cream for more older skin.
I bought my pot from Boots for £6.79 with my £10 voucher that I'd received from Pigsback.
Actually, this product has a slightly different name now. Garnier Skin Naturals Stop Anti-Ageing Moisturiser.
* The Packaging, Look and Smell *
It's nicely packaged in a box. The box tells you that this cream is for skin that has begun to show the first signs of ageing. Ageing, still don't like that word. I'm only 24 in a week's time. It goes on to tell you that it combats fine lines, imperfections (what imperfections, I'm perfect *cough*), dull and tired-looking skin and the stress of the sun, pollution and air-conditioning. The formula has been enriched with vitamins A, C, E, and moistures the skin all day long. It also has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15, which is perfect for my face.
As I'm reading this while stood in Boots, I bump into my friend, well she bumps into me. She looks at what I'm holding and laughs. She said "Getting on I see" She's only 18. She will need these products soon enough. Besides, I've always used a face cream. Just not one for signs of ageing.
When you open the small box, you will find an orange pot with a white shrew lid. The pot fits nicely in the palm of your hand. It's made out of glass so be careful as I drop this on my foot and you wouldn't believe the language that came out of my mouth. Time to see the cream inside. If it's half as good as the packaging, I'll be wrinkle free, line free, wind free. Oops, oh wrong product. Anyway, as I open the pot, a faint but lovely aroma of citrus, orange flowers and nature drifts my way. It also smells very fresh and clean. When I peer into the pot, it has a strange colour to it, a cream orange white and looks very creamy. Good enough to eat (but please don't, it will just taste like soap) I drip my finger in and the texture of the day cream is smooth and cool to the touch. Now let's move onto the testing.
* Using the Day Cream *
I always put my day cream once or twice in the day. First thing in the morning, half an hour before I put my make up on if I can help it and then if my face is feeling a bit dry because it gets sandblasted by the wind all the time as I live near the sea, I'll put some more on. I just need about two - three pea size blobs on my fingers to cover my whole face but that does depend on the dryness of your skin and how well you skin absorbs the cream. I rub it in with circular motions until I've done all my face. It does take awhile for it to absorb into my skin but I'm used to it now so I make allowances for it.
My face feels lovely, soft and moisturised (slightly tighter) and a hint of the aroma lingers for a while after you've used it.
I've used this cream now for about 2 months and I'm nearly at the bottom of the pot now. So you could say it last about 3 months, which I feel is good value.
* My overall thoughts *
I love this cream. It's not too expensive and it makes your face feel great, soft and moisturised. I do use it in conjunction with the Stop Night cream, I feel this does make a difference as I did use out of the night cream once and used a different night cream, it just made my skin feel a littler drier than normal. Also, it makes a great paperweight for my bills lol.
There have other ranges that that suit different ages and different skins.
Garnier Pure, Nutritionist, UltraLift, Total Comfort, Clean & Soft, Clean & Fresh, Density, Clean Detox and Clean Sensitive.
