Advantages: A great refreshing wash.

I started using Superdrug Tea Tree face wash a few years ago. I'm a great believer in tea tree oil. It's got great healing properties and is wonderful for all kinds of skin irritations such as spots, cuts, grazes, athletes foot. The idea of using it in a facial wash really appealed to me, especially as I have combination skin, and wanted something to help the oily areas.

I found you don't need to use much of it to get your face really tingling clean. It's good for washing makeup off, and smells fresh. To use it, I just splashed my face with hot water, spread some gel onto the palm of my hands then massaged it into the skin, sometimes with a face cloth. Then I just sluiced it off with loads of cold water to close up the pores.

It does what it says on the bottle and promotes a spot free complexion. I can't say how much it would help seriously spotty skin, but I definitely think it would be worth a try. One tube lasts at least a month used twice a day. I've also bought mini tubes of this from Superdrug, which are great for taking on holiday. Another option is to just squirt some into a small clean bottle of your own for holidays.

Although I stayed with this consistently for several years, I found that my skin was getting less oily as I got older, so I started to look for products more suitable for my changing skin. Overall I would say this is great for oily problem skin, but perhaps not for skin with dry areas that need more moisture.
