I'm having such a nightmare time with my skin at the moment. I have oily skin, but a bit combination skin on the cheeks. i had been happily using Clinique Foam Cleanser in the shower every 2 days, and Johnson's Clean & Clear Toner every day and night. That had worked fine for years, but over the last couple of months i've had more and more bad spots. Not just the little ones, big angry red ones. I always stayed away from Proper Acne type treatments, as I found they irritated my skin and left it dry and sore looking, But I thought i'd found my savious in a certain Clearasil Wipe. Great I thought, this is working, and then when I went to buy another pack I was told they had been discontinued.

Anyway, being in tesco and on the lookout for a replacement of anything that would work, I decided to try these ones. I'm not being Snobby, but I didn't expect them to work. After all i've used £15 things to try and combat spots, so what good would something at £1.99 for 25 wipes do? I thought I would try them as they were on buy one get one free. Seems stupid as if they didn't work, then I didn't want them, but since I got them at a bargain price, then it was justified - in a way.

The packaging isn't that exciting. it is a plastic pouch and you peel back the part in the middle to get into the Wipes. They seal back easy enough, so the wipes don't dry out. The pouch is a turquoise colour and this merges into a dark blue colour. The writing is in the middle of the pouch and not that large. I'm told on the pack that these contain ginger root extract and bisabolol. are suitable for all skin types and help fight bacteria and prevent spots.

The wipes aren't that moist, and although I wasn't pressing that hard down on my face with these, I felt I was applying a bit more force than what I have done with other wipes I had used. There is a slight Clinical, Astringent scent to these. i'm not going to say these are bleach-y, but they do smell clean and sterile. Fair enough, with being the type of product it is, I wasn't expecting a heavy floral scent.

I used these morning and night and found there was a slight improvement. It kept my face feeling clean, and I didn't feel any greasy patches on my forehead. i'm not sure it worked at keeping the spots away, but I didn't get a crop of any more that I remember. However the spots I had still seemed to be there, but a little smaller and not so raised. I am now using these in conjunction with another brand, as the other ones seem to work more at reducing the spots that are already there, but my face can still feel greasy a couple of hours after using the other brand, so I am using these ones in the morning and crossing my fingers that my face sorts it's self out.

I am undecided if I will buy these again after they are finished, but since I ended up with 50 wipes, then I should have a good trial period with these.

If anyone could recommend any good spot busting stuff then let me know. i have tried Freederm Lotion, the spot range from Avon, Clean and Clear range, some Nuutrogena things, Clearasil wipes, cleansers and toners.

It's so difficult to know what to use on spotty skin I have had trouble for years but seems to have finally settled down using good old pampers wipes (although strangely not johnson and johnson as they make my skin break out).
Everything else is just way too harsh for my skin unfortunately.

I think it's the humid weather that's causing spots, I don't normally get many but I've had quite a few this summer.
