... more robust than I thought they would be. They can be soaked with nail varnish or make up remover and used quite harshly, but they stand firm. They don't fall apart easily or tear under use which impressed me. They are perfect for removing make-up and nail varnish and I also use them with facial cleansers, toners and moisturisers and have never had a problem with them. They feel soft against your skin, without any roughness or harshness. ~Price/Packaging~ As said previously they are available in packs of 100 or 20...more

Every woman must have a pack of cotton wool balls/pads around the house and i'm no different. I refuse to pay a fortune for cotton wool, as its not warranted. Cotton wool is cotton wool and doesn't need to be branded to do the job well. For this reason I use Tescos own branded cotton wool round pads. ~The Product~ Tescos round cotton wool pads are available in packs of 100 or 200 pads. Each pad is circular and flat and just under 2 inches in diameter. They are white and just a couple of millimetres in thickness. The surface is quite soft and dry. Considering these are the Tescos own branded cotton wool pads, they are more robust than I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cotton wool pads that are made for the little people! (635 words)

When it comes to cotton wool, pads and stuff like that I really do get through them with gusto due to being a make-up wearer and polishing my nails regularly (thus having to often remove it!) but I hate spending out loads on this type of product however I do need decent quality as there nothing a lot worse than using cleansers and toners and them simply saturated the wool or pad and dripping everywhere (particularly nasty when using an oil based eye make up remover, which I do lol) and I don't like to leave behind cotton fibres on my nails to not notice them and coat over them with nail polish leaving me with a dirty brush and a rough textured nail! I hadn't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Cotton Wool Round Pads: Affordable Cotton Wool (388 words)

Cotton wool pads are a staple for any woman's beauty stash. There are lots of choices out there with regards to what to use for various jobs. There are cotton wool pleats, there are tissues, there is even toilet roll! But out of everything I have tried, I find that cotton wool pads are the best at most jobs. That includes removing nail polish, which is extremely tricky with anything else, and removing make-up and applying toner. Both of the latter can be managed with tissues, but I find that the tasks are considerably easier to manage using cotton wool pads. Tesco round cotton wool pads are my favourite for quality to price ratio. They cost 54p for a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Don't let me run out again....... Tesco Cotton Wool pads (522 words)

It wasn't until recently that I realised how much I used my packet of cotton wool pads. I realised just how much I used them as I ran out and was lost without them! I went to use my regular clenser / toner and eyemake up remover which I always apply onto a pad of cotton wool and so ended up using my emergancy make up remover wipes (normally used for late nights!) I then noticed that my nails were in a disgusting state, all chipped and flaking but as I needed to apply my nail varnish remover onto a pad, I was left with the chipped nails! I have tried a number of different varieties of cotton wool in the past, the pads, the pleats of cotton wool, the larger ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Cotton Wool Round Pads: The exciting world of Tesco cotton wool pads (365 words)

I have previously written a couple of very interesting and no doubt much loved reviews on Asda Cotton Wool Pads and Sainsbury's Basics Cotton Wool Pads. Wishing to add a little more excitement and joy into the lives of my fellow Dooyooers, I decided to follow these up with another cotton wool related instalment, and here it is: Tesco Cotton Wool Pads. Tesco Cotton Wool Pads come in a long, thin, plastic bag. It is clear to allow you to easily see how many pads are left, and it has a drawstring opening at the top, which lets you pull the bag closed after removing one pad, and thus eliminate the possibility of the other pads falling out in your dressing table ...  Read the complete review
