I have two one-year-olds, so we get through quite a few nappies, as you can probably imagine! When we were still in the hospital, the midwives came round to show you the proper way of bathing and changing your babies. When it came to changing their nappies, they showed us how to wash their nappy areas using a bowl of tepid water, a bowl of cotton balls and a spare bowl for the used cotton wool. Now I have the greatest of respect for anyone who carried on using this method once they got home from the hospital, but the moment we got home it became all about the wet wipes. These wipes first came to my attention when I was pregnant with my little girl. We decided quite early on that we would stock up on essentials such as wipes and nappies before she arrived to spread the cost. On mooching in the baby aisle I came across these wipes. They jumped out at me as they were so reasonably priced. They cost around £1.10 although they are often on a buy 3 for £3 offer so reducing them to just £1 a pack. They are more than half the price of some of the other well known brands of wipes which can retail up to £2.75. They come in a pack of 80 wipes and come with a hard plastic pop up opening so they are easy to pull out but ...

As my son is now 4 years old and well out of nappies, it seems a lifetime ago that we used to buy products such as this in order to clean and wipe his bottom as and when was necessary.
