Advantages: Soft, fresh, odour free, well-packaged, cheap
Disadvantages: ? Bad for the enivronment
About six weeks ago my boyfriend was hit by a car and broke his leg. After the initial shock, me, his friends and his parents all went out and bought him far too much stuff that he didn't need! Of course, we bought some of the same things and forgot others, but anyway!
I didn't buy these baby wipes until a couple of weeks after, when he was at home and struggling to even hop a few steps (he can hop much more now and is practically full weight bearing). At this point there was no way he could wash properly on his own as he could barely move one leg, and the most he could manage was upper body.
So I decided to buy some baby wipes so he could at least clean his hands and feet whilst sitting/lying on the sofa instead of having to go all the way upstairs or balance awkwardly in the kitchen. At first I had to clean him myself, because he couldn't bend properly! However, now I'm happy to say he can clean his feet himself!!
The packaging was quite thick plastic and was decorated with little babies. Perhaps not the most appropriate design under the circumstances - maybe they should do a range of wipes with broken bones on! I was confident that the packaging would keep the wipes moist, which it continues to do even a month later. It also has a hard plastic open/close tab, which is much better than the stickers you normally find on face wipes.
I chose the wipes because they claimed to be fragrance free, and I found this to be true, unlike the Simple face wipes which I think smell horrible.
They were also a good size, and as there was a big pack, they've lasted well for the £1.50-2ish I paid for them.
Cleaning-wise, they've done pretty well. I can't comment on how good they would be for babies, but they've cleaned Joe's feet and hands well, even getting dried on iodine off without much trouble. They were also good for being soft and gentle, which he needed around his foot as it was still really sore.
They seem pretty strong and thick, and I would definitely recommend them. I think they would be good to clean young children's hands and faces (if not 'elsewhere'!) as they are very mild and nice and fresh.
Summary: Hopefully I won't have to buy these again for a long time, but they are good!
