... weekly tesco shop and nearly had to take a second look when I saw the amazing price of 77p for a pack of 25 wipes. That seemed like a fantastic price to me, and I had my doubts that a product that cheap would actually produce the results I was after. Nevertheless, they were certainly worth a punt, so into the trolley they went. I first used one of the wipes that very evening to remove my makeup. I swept the wipe over my face and was please to see that they seemed to be removing my makeup quite effectively. I then t...more

Premium Review Tesco Sensitive Cosmetic Wipes: 77p Face wipes B-A-R-G-A-I-N! (655 words)

Well, I needed some new wipes and when I spotted the 77p price tag on these a couple of days ago, I though why not? (All of the 'Tesco's own skin wipes and moisturisers seem to have become EXTREMLEY cheap recently, the 'exfoliating' ones were 77p per pack and on a BOGOF offer!) I ususally use 2 a day for the morning and afternoon so nearly always find mine dry when I use the likes of 'Nivea' and 'Simple' yet when trying 'Johnsons' I found them too oily and greasy! I think these are perfect for my skin and have got just the right balance! The product: Well, the product is what it says, Sensitive cosmetic wipes which are designed for the more ...  Read the complete review

I've been using these wipes for the last 5 months and I'm really happy with them. They get rid of my make-up including waterproof mascara and even help me get rid of self tan which has gone a bit wrong! They cost about 92p for a pack which compared to some of the others I've tried before thats a good price. They are perfume free and suitable for sensitive skin which is why I bought them. You just wipe your face and neck and the make-up just comes off really easily. I use a wipe between my finger and thumb and rub my eyelashes in between to get the most off. You can also get rid of the last traces of 'panda eyes' which soap and water ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Sensitive Cosmetic Wipes: Go sWIPE yourself a pack! (479 words)

With the recent lovely weather (and thus copious amounts of greeeeasy sun cream & runny make up), I thought it'd be worthwhile investing in some facial wipes. Normally I tend to go for the better known branded wipes by Simple or Johnson & Johnson, but at 93p for a pack of 25, I thought I'd give the Tesco own brand ones a try. The Product: The wipes are in a simple pale green pack with the usual resealable plastic flap in the centre. The pack states that these wipes are fragrance free, and for those with sensitive skin. It also claims that they're; "dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic, mild & ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review How clean is your face? (332 words)

I have always been a huge fan of the Johnson & Johnsons face wipes, I loved the way that my face felt sparkly clean after using them and my skin also felt incredibly soft. I think that they product fab results and even manage to remove every trace of my indestructable waterproof mascara. Blimey though they are expensive and at the moment, I really need to try and reduce the amount that I am spending on cosmetics. It doesn't hurt to try cheaper alternatives, sometimes you can stumble across some real gems and if not then nothing is reallly lost. I also seem to get through an awful lot of face wipes too, so if I could find one that didn't break the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Sensitive Cosmetic Wipes: Cheap but definitely not nasty! (280 words)

This was another of my attempts to reduce how much I spend on toiletries. I've been pleased with own brand facial wipes in the past but this is the first time that I've used Tesco facial wipes. ***The Wipes*** These wipes were too dry for my liking. I prefer them to contain a fair bit of moisture so that I feel like they are doing a good job of cleaning my face, but these were quite dry and felt like they had come out of a packet that hadn't been sealed properly. ***The Results*** Despite my initial reservations about them being too dry, they do seem to be effective as far as keeping my face clean goes. Since I have been using them, I've ...  Read the complete review
