A friend of mine at Christmas thought she would buy me some moisturiser, this was to do with a joke we have about me not using moisturiser all the time. Anyway I wont bore you with all that but she decided to get a pot of moisturiser from The Body Shop for me. When she went along to our local store and looked for one she wasn't sure which to go for. She knows how I love their products and as she uses them if she stays on the couch she remembered a few I have had over the last few years and remembered me using a few of the Vitamin E products, how I loved the Seaweed toner I had and that I have a small patch of eczema on my face near my eye which can flare up if ... Continuing with my reviews of The Body Shop products, this is another great product - Aloe Soothing Day Cream. ~~First Impressions~~ As this is another member of the Aloe Vera collection, it has the trademark pale green colours on the packaging. The actual container itself is a small green plastic tub with a screw on/off lid. There is also a small plastic cover over the moisturiser when you buy it, however I found this a bit fussy to keep taking off and therefore put this in the bin - after I had taken all the cream off it! On the plastic tub there is a white label with all the necessary information on and pale green colouring, it also informs you ... Read the complete review

Price: £8.80 From: The Body Shop For: Soothing moisturisation and protection from irritants for sensitive skins The packaging is a simple plastic tub with a clean but high quality feel to it. It has a screw off lid which is really easy to open but fastens nice and tightly so you can easily take it travelling with you. The only problem I have with the packaging is that I really prefer a bottle or tube as they're just more hygienic than dipping your fingers in a pot. It's quite a light cream with a smooth consistency and a fresh aloe scent to it. It feels soothing and cooling on the skin and sinks in really quickly. You don't need to use ... Aloe Soothing Day Cream, from the Body Shop, is currently £7.04 for 50ml and usually costs £8.80. Sometimes, it also comes in a small 15 ml tub, as a freebie with other products when you spend over a certain amount in store. It is suitable for sensitive skin and for use on the face and neck during the day time to moisturise the skin, keep it "soft and supple" and protect your skin from irritants. The packaging is very similar to that of the night version of this product: The tub is light green in colour, with a clear screw-top lid. The text on the labels is green, while the labels are a green/white colour. Even though this packaging is quite plain, ... Read the complete review

I used to love body shop for it's ethical background, but more recently I have tried to cut out my purchases from there, and go somewhere like lush, because I disagree with the decisions made by their company in recent years. This however remains one product that I will compromise my beliefs for, simply because it's so good. The product comes in a nice fresh looking tub that is a light green (reminiscent of aloe) sort of colour with a screw top. It's practical because you can get a good scoop out to smother yourself with, but after use it can be hard to screw the lid back on with slippery aloe hands. The packaging could be a little ...
